If it's true you only want imms that have served for the full eight year time-line of the mud, then you only have two options: Sadr and myself. Next in seniority would be Algorab and Khore.

Having been an immortal and temporarily (?) back again, this is a difficult one for me to answer. I highly respect almost every immortal that I've worked with (even Herr Zynor, as much crap as I give him), and could say great things about all of them.

At the moment, Dulrik stands out in my mind. When I was a mort and at first as an immortal, he irritated the hell out of me and if I hadn't been so excited about becoming an imm, I would've quit in that first few months just because he pissed me off so much. He still pisses me off, often, and vice versa, but I've come to respect him greatly, and feel honored that he's taken as much time as he has over the years to listen to my ideas and even implement far more of them than I would have ever imagined possible.

Reina for being something of a mentor to me, a skilled builder, a great scripter, and an outstanding twink-buster.

Bug (Sargas v1.0/Meissa v1.0) for having been my sidekick and buddy.

Jinny for her diligence and fortitude in sticking through all the crap.

Yopp & Khore for both their RP and their incredible attitudes.

Sargas v2.0 for his outstanding building skills.

but the cream of the crop, the immortal whom I think set the standard that all the rest of us should strive to aspire to is Werttrew (Zavijah v1.0). He encompasses all the traits listed above and then some. Beyond his stunning ability as a builder and roleplayer, he is one of the most brilliant, creative, humble, and good-natured people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, someone whose integrity is of the highest caliber.

Okay, that's enough lovey-dovey crap. Imms are nazis. Chem for imm!

Well, I'll address a few things first then comment on my favorites.

That half naked man in Ariakas's sleeping quarters was from the original one. Even I wondered what in the hell he was doing in there. I mean, what kind of sick pervert was hairy yak [REDACTED] version 1 anyway? He did have some nice scripts on his eq though. It is a shame in one way that we moved to the current way of doing descriptions, because the old way was fun in that you could script changes based upon situations as an IMM. *sigh*

True, I was Sargas V1. Sargas V2 (Bill) is the one who eventually became Alshain V2. I went through three different IMM names (not counting the angel name) and Reina quipped more then once that I was becoming stale and needed to change again. I actually contemplated it as Meissa at one point, just for the fun of it.

There are various IMMs I really admire, but not always because they were IMMs. Khore and Yopp I enjoyed because they were just flat out fun to be around. Unless you pissed Khore off IRL that is. They were/are good IMMs too, because they stuck around and monitored various things and counseled and trained us younger IMMs for a while there.

Jinny (Algorab v2) has to top my favorite list though. She was always very approachable for me as a player and was responsive to my questions and such. She's always struck me as a fair person to deal with who has a wonderful ability to administrate the other IMMs as Dulrik's right hand.

Dulrik is fantastic because of all the things he does. I don't agree with him on everything, but his heart is always in the right place and if it really isn't working out, he isn't above modifying and adjusting it until it does. His fairness in matters always impressed me. I'm not capable of being as fair as he is in all things, because I do have a temper and a since of righteousness which flares into indignation on occasion.

Werttrew really did a great job as an IMM and is one of the ones I was very pleased with and wanted to be like. He was a bit too color code happy at times for my taste, but he's a good guy all around.

Reina was a mentor to me in a lot of ways. I appreciated his no-nonsense ways, even when I didn't agree with all of his judgments. I admired that he was willing to make firm stances and act upon them instead of waffling back and forth like so many IMMs can do. His building skills were always impressive.

Dalamar (Achernar v1) has always been a great friend and someone whose building skills I've admired. He's been a great sounding board over the years for various ideas and his knowledge of the mud has always been a source of strength for me. I've known that if I need to know something about another player, character, or mud topic, I could go to him and get a good answer about it. As long as you keep him restrained to just two active building projects at any one time, he makes a great IMM who looks out for the players.

Other IMMs make the list of those that I like, but for various reasons personal and professional. It isn't too often that I absolutely don't like an IMM, but the things that can really turn me off are IMMs who go inactive and never retire OR IMMs who break the rules willingly and don't feel it was wrong. If they break the rule and then realize later how wrong they were, that's all right with me as long as they got what they had coming for breaking the rules. I've never been pleased with those who break rules and think they should be able to get away with it. See the righteous indignation above.

All this brings me to a point. I hate the static name system in one way because it makes it difficult to keep up with the different people behind the names. We have to use version numbers to keep track of them. I think they should just be known by their player's forum ID myself.

Oh, and Chem for IMM!

Wert (Zavi), Jinn, Nash, Ain v1, and Sargas stick out at the top of mine, for the help and direction and experiences as a mortal. Each has their strong points, but all were in some manner inspiring or helpful to me.

More recently after joining this crew of crazy people, I'd have to say Jinn and Nash, for the support and guidance they've given. Also gotta thank Mira and Achernar, for showing me the ropes early on.

:-? ....why'd that sound like an Oscar speech? Meh.

AAARRG... BugTussle, How could I forget about him. He belongs up there with Dalamar and Nashuldra on my lists. Bug sticks out in my memory because of my first IC interaction with him was a vision Soren had AFTER he had died his perma-death. It was the first time "Sargas" was ever seen by anyone (at this point, however, he was still a dwarven god :P). All my IC and OOC interactions with Bug as an IMM (and those I know I have had as a mortal) have been fun.

Hehe, believe it or not, I think the IMM's had a personal vendetta against me or something. [/joke] However, in my first two and a half years of SK, I saw I believe a grand total of two Immortals, and that was Meissa, and Achernar, and I didn't get to RP with either of them. Then I started Valthanos, and I have seen and got to interact with a fair share of them. Since Eur0 is not listable, I think I will have to put down old Toast0r for my favorite him, simply because he is the one aside from Eur0 that shows up the most. And he has a sense of humour. :D

You just self-destructed the entire Chem for Imm movement. Good job, bastard. Sarcastic jackass was your strongest selling point!
