Streetwise is way op. Just wow, stripped our scry balls and give a skill that is cheap and easy to take ira place.

I would be interested to hear more opinions regarding the cheapness and easiness of Streetwise. I am not averse to tweaking it.

That being said, the difference between scry balls and streetwise is that streetwise is available to any team that has either a rogue or a bard. It's not a limited advantage which was formerly only available to players who were "in the know" and/or had a grey-aura friend (or alt). Streetwise is a standard part of the game rules in the same way as the 'who' command, tracking skill, locate object and summon spells.

Like others, I felt the scry ball was well balanced or the old scry tower, it took an extra amount of effort to aquire, it could only be used by one class and I believe there was a warning to the victim. You can just spam this new skill willy nilly and from what I have seen its pretty cheap, the victim gets no warning.

Overall I think it's just a bad skill and highly oped. You need to up the bribes to an obsidian or more and after using a number of informants in a day you can't use it for a while, like when someone burns a contact.

I wouldn't mind having the target get a save for streetwise, that lets him get tipped off that someone is asking about them.

How about the three-tier method some spells seem to use?

Complete Success: streetwise returns target location, target does not get notified.

Partial Success: streetwise returns target location, target gets an anonymous tell informing them of the person trying to find them.

Failure: streetwise returns failure, target gets an anonymous tell informing them of the person trying to find them. Maybe even the informant tells the target where the person trying to find them made the request to add some real concequence for failure?

Then maybe a 24hr (IC) cool down on the target or on the skill in general?

And out of curiosity, generally how much does it cost to find someone?

Streetwise is totally fine. No changes needed.

Envenom should have and me/pe possible both cost.

Speaking of which both backstab and circle stab require no PE to use, those should both have a pe cost.
