Shattered Kingdoms

I would like to know what some of your favorite items are. Dulrik has stated previously that he does not want people to talk in detail about items, so you can just indicate you like the color, script, lore, description, how it is a particularly good or useful item of its type, or whatever your reason is, without any specific details. It's helpful for creating and updating items to know what players like and why.

The gnomish explorer's pick, not much of a weapon, but the utility of it is fun.
Would it be possible to have a similar utility item made available in shops?
Something like this would be very handy for newer characters.

a finger puppet - annoying as it is, I find it quite entertaining
a mithril bone, dragonscale cloak, a pulsing red stone - the lores, very in depth stories

Not an item but worth a mention, some locations like the gardens in Garazul, simply amazing descriptions with actual detail allowing many things standing out to be examined. Most of the time I just dash through areas heading for an objective, but when I take the time to really look I am quite impressed by places like this.

As I got to see a lot of new loot for the first time, wanted to share my 2 cents. First, I mimic the sentiment on the explorer's pick. That thing is not so awesome that it would be broken, but super utility and fun, and an exceptional rp tool.

I also enjoy the items that have a lot of lore and that interact with their environment like the puppet. I am also a sucker for loot the matches. And it drives me nuts that same awesome things just look crappy or are not complete suits. I rather sacrifice a super elite suit for a elite suit if it matches perfectly with the rest of my gear and fits the character I am playing. Obviously, on Lorain I want the knight in shining armor, and on Lydia some super ev0l dress. Which reminds me of the old mayor of everclear adamantite. That looked cool, what has replaced it over the ages is just garbage. You might as well make it tanso, but at least make it decent. There really is no point in crappy diamond or crappy adamantite.

Lastly, super powerful items that crumble after one use make me sad. Like a certain eye from a mage that sounds like somnium.

i have a soft spot for the knee chopper, which has TERRIBLE stats but is hilarious

i love the everflowing dwarven mug of ale

i like graphic items like the necklace of deep-elven ears, or griffon nuggets

and i think the sword i'm thinking of is called the ender

In all my years I've never held most of these items. If I did, it was never for long. A day or less.

The toadstunner is one of the best items in the game, not just for the humor of it.

Any portal item. WarpedWishes/TwistedTears. I wish there were more of them. Even if they were dumb portals. I miss the loophole.
Repair hammer that you can no longer get. Was a great item. RIP.
Fishhook - simply for the name. Love it.
Life Water Orb
Stardust kit was wonderfully colored
mermaid shell horn - has provided entertainment for decades, kudos to whomever built it
scripture of immediate vengeance - beautifully named item for what it does
Spootsy stick.
Lamp of Bitter Flame

<3 the Stardust Kit - even if people think its made for a woman... ITS FORM FITTING TO WHOMEVER WEARS IT. Also, the effects are pretty cool, and I like that they are time and class sensitive.
Immaculate blade of Truth - Cool Paladin effect too, and it looks neat.
Tears of Meissa - I like the lore/rp side of it
Midnight Plate - Craftable, and has different stats depending on the ore, pretty nifty - On that note, other craftable armor would be pretty fricken awesome IMO
The Painstick - The name alone
Translucent Pipe - Like, totally, maaaan. Also, if it made you hungry afterward, that'd be the best.
Daybreak - That weapon is pretty awesome
Ephialtes (sp?) Kit - The adventure to get it, the look, the description, the stats, its all fun. Very well done on that whole thing.

The custom made staff that I had with Filliokwe. It was treasure (enchantable) and the story behind getting it was great.

toadstunner is absolutely my favorite item in the game. love it
