Refusing to greet after introducing yourself to someone

@mayra Azo not greeting you was something that went overlooked when we first met. An accident, I believe. And then it kind of became an inside joke. But yeah, I see your point.

I'm glad you see it. It generated something other than the automatic greet, Hey I'm so and so.

I wasn't quite cool with that when he did it. But it does meet the rule 1 PK requirements. So he shouldn't have gotten in trouble.

Are you advocating for not giving someone your name right off the bat? I enjoyed the way it played out as well. It was interesting.

I think it all depends on the situation, honestly. I mean if you have two people in a room full of people, that hate each and one introduces themselves to the room, and uses greet all the other one shouldn't have to be obligated to greet them back.

Or like how it played out with Azo and May. It was an oversight like you said, but it turned into an interesting RP in the end.

Plus greeting and being greeted by every person that you interact with can hurt some players in the long run. Especially when you interact with a lot of lower level characters that don't hang around, and your character forgets a person that is more useful.

I just don't think everything has to be so black and white. I mean yeah it's the polite thing to do most of the time. But not all of the time.

Why not allow a naming command so that you can assign names to people, regardless of greet?

An obese male gnome refuses to greet you is here.
name obese Pickles
look
Pickles refuses to greet you is here.

This would count towards the intelligence limitation of remembering names.

I have not really read this thread....but I will from now on not greet characters when playing a Dabi Character to inspire more Hate.
