I have made a vow, I will not vote for sk until we have CRS removed from the game.

Not going to happen. Perhaps there will be improvement to the system. I am advocating for such. I have been helping with a few things, but progress is slow.

[REDACTED] like that is so freaking stupid. If you want more people to play, you have to vote. Your ultimatums haven't worked. CRS will never be removed but with fewer players you won't have a game at all, much less one without CRS.

And if you're not even playing SK, then go to the other site to whine about it. Those of us posting here still care.

One can care about the unwashed vagrants of the lower quarters of our cities without emptying her pockets and doing little beyond selfishly joining their rank ranks.

One can be deeply concerned about the afterlife and her role in the greater part of the universe without being yoked by oppressive and self-denying dogma.

One can even love someone deeply without marrying her.

Why do you seem to post as if we cannot care about SK while we choose to vote for it and play for it according to our own, free will?

Such "love it or leave it" kind of talk as the above quote reads to me really makes it look like you're defending the game... and what kind of game cannot defend and sell itself? That's right. One that cannot defend and sell itself.

It is my opinion, in spite of no ill will towards you, that you're making the game look worse than the people who are straightforward about the price of their votes and the features they want to see in it.

Your post, which, for what it's worth, could be read as "Go away I don't like your feelings" with a lot of context, would not do much for boosting playercount unless there happened to be a majority of people who also did not seem to be sensitive to diverse opinions and well-stated hopes for the future of the game such as the flame-free content Carsetius posted.

Where you and I differ, I believe, is that I don't think you should post a criticism unless it's intended to be constructive. If you want a post a thread about removing CRS and its benefits to the game thereof, fine. If you want to go to the vote thread and respond to Dulrik that you aren't going to vote period, that's a little frustrating. I can't imagine standing outside a voting booth with a "DON'T VOTE!" sign. Start a campaign for the opposing candidate elsewhere? Okay. Send suggestions to candidate directly about what you want to see change? Okay. Context matters, and placement of critique matters.

I just don't understand putting so much of a time sink into being adversarial to the game... ON THE GAME. I mean, in the blogging world, people at least create their own anti-whatever blogs. The Pioneer Woman hatred has generated like five anti-Pioneer Woman blogs, which blows my mind. That's so much wasted time and effort just to tell people "I don't like The Pioneer Woman!" But at least it has its own context.

I wish, grep, with all your potential to add content and intelligence to the game, and often good suggestions, that you'd be a little less cynical sometimes - like when you offered to help Dulrik with the format. I really like you and I wish you were playing. (but is that begging again?!) It is frustrating for me to see people whine endlessly on this site when they don't offer alternatives and solutions. And if they get frustrated because they are being ignored in that respect, I guess I don't understand putting so much effort into posting about a game you clearly have no interest in and won't play. Maybe occasionally comment for old time's sake or to see if things have changed to your liking, but to be this responsive? IDK, when I get too busy to play SK I tend to ignore the forums too.

It's not fun to work on things that you cannot implement.

It's easy to point out flaws and provide feedback to people who can implement them, and it's something one could see as worthwhile doing when those who can implement changes don't seem to play the game so they cannot possibly seem to have an appreciation of those flaws from a player's perspective. For the record though, if Dulrik threw SK up on github, I'd probably vanish from this community altogether.

We should vote considering the hard work done for the Bonanza. I know SK is better than most of the muds on the top 20 right now.
