You know, its a little surprising to read that we're worried about hoarders.
Do we really have that little faith in humanity these days? Granted, this is a game, an online entity rather, but the fact of item hoarding should be the least of our concerns. The fact stands that there exits many players who will find it (very) difficult to achieve the GM rank. Maybe they'll have trouble at the Champion rank. There are those that are experienced in leveling, and others that aren't.
The rank of Master, being the
endpoint for logout theft sounds plenty damn fair. Not talking about NPC rogues, or PCs stealing from your inventory. Just the
logout thefts. Grinding is already difficult enough...
It really would give the game a little more balance PK and PvP wise. Whats the con exactly? The possibility some bimbo twink decides to alt hoard rare items? So then, we don't trust in the capability of the Game Staff? We really don't believe in them? You mean we can't trust them to do their jobs at all? True, it would make things easier, the act of removing the necessity of checking character IP and horded inventory, but anyone can just log into a character every thirty days
regardless of whatever position you stand on the hoarding scenario.
The concept sounds fair if you take the "crazy negatives" out of the equation.
End-Game, there is little stopping us from pushing Grandmaster or Champion to complete a character.
Other then, maybe rage deletes~♫

Would this make characters more competitive at non-GM?
GM and Champion are likely at a greater standpoint regardless. You gain additional attribute points End-Game. And you can't possibly Enchant/Consecrate for everything in one shoosh..
More competitive? The anwser is likely yes, as it would allow non-GM's to, at best, keep up...
