If RE wasn't somewhat accessible for casters, then non-MR casters would be so screwed. Human sorcs get 1 shotted by magma, wtf is that.

I can understand that sentiment, but traveling to the IC or Dreamscape just once in a characters' lifetime is extraordinary for most SKers, let alone being able to devote time to enchanting whatever scripted item you are retrieving: And since, due to some stupid rules, items from the GGI or Ephialtis are no better on starting enchantments and material than armor from a summonable NPC, their scripts are the only things that make them worthwhile.

In other words, if those items/that armor -didn't- have scripts then it wouldn't have been put into circulation to begin with at all because no one would have bothered to get them. In addition, junk-loots, monthly strips, reboots and bugs do happen, and getting to the end of the IC or Dreamscape is something that happens roughly once a month I'd say, which is very rare compared to "Hey let's go to this centaur in Exile wearing greater MP maximum AC diamond lolol"

Except that warlocks can also eliminate mirror images with another single round cast spell.

Yes they would have to chain lightning you, if you're going to get chain lightning cast on you from range you have a variety of options, if they cast it on you in the room, I doubt they'd have time to one shot you with magma before you could do something smart like...Oh dispel their elemental, or blind them. I mean come on. You can always quaff word of recall, that's another option.

Dispel has a longer cast time than magma, and blindness and dispel both can be enchanted against. If all RE items were removed from the game then the only thing that could mitigate magma damage would be sanctuary.

All I'm saying is, if the current caster-only RE items are removed, then non-MR casters will become completely useless in PvP because they will be getting one-shot from magma without a dang thing they can do about it. It'd be like if petrification took half as much time to cast and did 60% of your HP even if you saved.
