I think it's an improvement, mostly because some of the options are more clearly and specifically worded.
I think as well that you really do need an option for "too much effort for too little gain necessary to be competitive." I couldn't tell you which side of the "will/will not play again" coin that would fall on, though, since it could easily fall on either.
