I doubt it has to do with her dominance. I think she just expects the game to work very strictly X way.

Also, I didn't realize I was mashing assist, but there's D. :P

Syn, you are so disturbed at the fact your dominance may be challenged you are being obtuse.

What?

I'd just reroll a sorc/shaman if I was worried about my "dominance". I'd still do that better than 95% of the people playing, in terms of mechanics.

I like scripted items. I've played plenty of characters who never had any.

I like the fact that there are crappy scripted items, like a mithril longsword that casts protection. Is it the greatest thing in the world? No. Is it cool? Yes. And it's probably something players like you should use more.

I also like the fact that you actually you know. Get a reward for something like going and toppling the IC.

Wow. I just want to start by saying I can't believe ardith just called chess finite. Yes, technically that may be correct, but I still don't think they've built the computer that could calculate the number of moves that could be made in a game of chess. It's obviously far more strategic than SK could ever dream of being.

Chess has a finite number of strategies.

Also SK is based around tactics, not strategy, and there *is* a difference.

Although a lot of people do try to employ strategies.

You gon' get got?

Syn, I am pretty sure there are myriad ways (did I do it right this time, patrisaurus?) that we can make certain items interesting without them encroaching on the territory of other classes -- and if they're going to encroach, we ought to determine what exactly is allowed to encroach, how, and at what cost / requirement.

It's only a reward if you play a hellion though. If you play any of the 12 other classes you just have to stick it up your [REDACTED] and sit on it. The twinkle star, in theory, is a "reward". Or I guess a better example would be that detection cloak from Tlaxcala.

It is still silly to assert that scripted items are mean to balance things out between classes.

Personally, I think the game needs more offensive scripts.
