Yet you've done it using many cross-class advantages, which only serves my point. You have used spirit aura effectively, that spell from Aludras faith on occasion, and many others. You win mainly from retreat, which is your own current skillset, crossbow spec (which is a wise choice) and the spec in a massive weapon. However, your class's attributes arent being shared by other classes to your class's detriment.

Now you're complaining that I'm typing in valid commands to the mud. What's next, that I log on?

For instance, a shaman would give Tolene a run for her money in PvP no matter how Tolene approaches it, I mean if Tolene wanted to retreat/ skirmish a shaman might even get you with a good voodoo. But if Tolene just quaffs spirit aura (which she has done many times) that same shaman no longer stands a cold chance in hell.

What I mean is, mercenaries arent affected by what these posts are focused on. Its the classes Ive already mentioned. Mercenaries are some of the ones more powerful for it. So your successes with anything outside of your skillset prove this point. (despite the fact that many come from a wise decision inside the current skillset)

No, just no.

Lothoriel knows this is not the case, but for his sake, I'm not even going to say what I'd do.

Thinking that I'd die from voodoo is a joke.

Anyway, this thread isn't about Ardith dying from voodoo or not. This thread is about cross-class balance. Does anyone have any suggestions? Its obvious people agree here, and people disagree here. But do we have options that could help? As I said in the first post, I dont even have a character right now. I have been considering making another when I came to the realization that cross-class balance is disrupted.

Every class has its weaknesses and its strengths. What's wrong with that?

WW: Exactly right! Nothing is wrong with each class having its own weaknesses and strengths! The problem comes in when certain classes seem to have MANY spells only available to OTHER classes. Not only does this buff the class receiving them but in many cases it renders the class whose spells are being used almost useless. Example: Like I mentioned before, any non-religious class can get spirit aura vials. This is bad for the game. Resist elements I believe were intended for warlocks to not be hit by elements themselves either by their own volition or by an enemy. I dont believe it has a place in the game otherwise. I think if a rogue is slick enough to hide and backstab you or steal from your pocket WHEN YOUR AWAKE a horse behind you isnt going to stop him. The more cross-class spells we allow, the more the classes whose spells we allow to cross are wimped.
