The help file for persuasion didn't say anything, but it somewhat implies that it is a magical ability. If so, is it affect by art? Asked ICly and couldn't find an answer at the time.

The first thing the help file says is that it is a skill. I do not think it is affected by art at all, but it is most definitely affected by your charisma stat.

Persuasion is a weird and mysterious skill that even eludes Dulrik's comprehension.

Honestly, this is a really good question - because I imagine if art affected persuade, it'd affect songs, and vice versa. It may have been answered, one day, but I'm not entirely sure. I'd wager heavily art doesn't affect songs, because as you can see, they have a very high and reasonable success rate without any art. However, enchantments do protect against them...

Does art affect bard songs/persuade?

I know art affects songs and chords that have a save: b aug/f minor/sleep/silence/dancing (I think that is it) just not sure if it works closer to taunt then charm person.

art /sort/ of affects songs, like with songs of sleep, art only determines the actual go to sleep part, which is not the useful part of the song lol

Knocking things unconscious is a happy byproduct of singing songs of sleep.
