If you look at the cities for Ayamao vs Zhenshi you have this

Ayamao
Sith= Bright white
Elisair=Grey leaning white
Grahme=Grey leaning white with spurts of darkness

Zhenshi
Nerina=Light leaning grey
Garazul=Grey leaning dark (unless the pirates don't count and that one slave guild)
Drukyul=Light
Chibunei (Not much experience looking at the NPCs so I am going to guess grey)

Sith'a'niel is the capital of Ayamao. Garazul is not the capital of Zhenshi. Ayamao is totally lighty. Deep-elves get killt on sight anywhere in Ayamao.

Point being, no one gets killed on sight in Zhenshi based on aura. No dark aura has lead the Guardians.

Maybe at one point, Zhenshi was lightie-centric, but that time has passed. SK history has spoken. It's a done deal. Zhenshi/Nerina is more neutral than lighty. The Fist pasifist stuff just speaks lukewarm neutrality to me, not lightie-centric kingdom.

I've had a couple of darkie pets (a troll or something?) that I've had that cause the guards to attack on sight in Nerina. Plus, the Zhensh guards sneer at deep-elves and people in the Marfik religion. They don't even do that in Taslamar. Technically the only thing that gets killed on sight in Exile is undead. Nothing stops a diabolic deep-elf necromancer (minus undead!) from walking into Exile and sitting down in the inn, except the mighty power of Tari, I guess.

ETA
Oh yeah, and death shroud. Does that get you attacked in every lightie city, or just Exile?
