Thread necro.

This is a complicated change which is why it has languished on my TO DO list. Which do you prefer?
a) Everything in the container goes bye-bye along with the container when it is "stolen".
b) Items from containers are put in your overall inventory and you can't move when you log in?

I've had containers taken by level thieves and all the stuff disappears with them. That can be a real pain in the [REDACTED].

My vote is for option B if we're talking about dehoarding code, with the obvious normal checks against items being taken by lack of hours if they're in the container.

I've been bitten by the stolen container before, too. I got into the habit of "get all scabbard; quit" just to avoid it. And sometimes I forgot. I would prefer everything dumped into inventory and can't move until adjustments made.

I am all good for Option B.

I too have been the victim of having things in a container that I didn't know would skip town on me and lost everything!

This has bothered me for a long time, but why is it possible for me to put more things in my inventory than I can possibly carry just by doing a get all container command?

Probably going along with option B, but having more items in your inventory than your character can carry *should* make the character unable to move, which would give a little added value to having a higher dexterity.

Option A. It may be harsh, but I can't imagine it any other way. People just shouldn't be using gear too high a level for them; unfortunately, it's very difficult to tell if a particular piece of gear is too good for you. What I wouldn't mind is an echo (much like the shopkeepers give now when you're about to buy something too good) that when you equip something (if the item is too high of level), your eyes dart about the area, suspicious of any potential thieves.

Definitely choice B. It would be terrible as a new player to have a container stolen along with everything inside of it. As a side note... having more items than your max items in your inventory doesn't prevent you from moving (And currently you can get any many items as you wish from a container as long as the container itself is in your inventory).

I like that aspect of gameplay, yet I would only be opposed to it changing if this change also went in. It wouldn't be fun for a new player to the game to log in and be unable to move because of his container being stolen. I guess that's probably a pretty big edge case though, since for new players most of their containers are probably going to be storebought.

I vote for B but I also really like this idea.
