By the way, what would happen isn't that everyone gets lighten load -- it just means Talons would lose it.

Awesome. Love how complaining always results in nerf bat and the death of variance. Chop down those damned oaks so that the maples can get some light, goddammit!

The point is it's stupid for one Trib to get it and none of the rest. I do not care how you rank them, a Trib is as useful as the ppl in them. Either give each trib one heavy armor priest, or take them all down to light armored. There is no balance or reason to just give it to Trib because someone I imagine was too lazy at the time to change the tag of the NPC in question.

No, actually, that's wrong. Just because one tribunal has access to it does not mean every tribunal should. It's also not a stupid line of thinking.

However, if lighten load really is as good as you say, then maybe no tribunal NPCs should get it!

Wasn't that the point in taking it away? Lightie tribs already get rez and gate, c'mon. There is no reason for them to be the only one with Lighten load NPCs as well. Everyone else already has to depend on different NPCs and Pc priests.

Don't a couple of tribunals get access to free enchanting (albeit not GM), some mob-only spells (prayer seems to be popular), rift (which in ways is better than gate, and in ways worse), etc...?

What spells are more difficult to obtain? As far as buffs go, the only other spell close to it's difficulty to obtain is RE, and that's just on account of the brewing change. Unlike RE, however, there aren't any staves or scripted items for lighten load, and even moreso, lighten load is a spell that increases exponentially in use if you have constant access to it. RE is only useful if you see a warlock you're about to fight.

This effectively seemed to be Dulrik's reasoning to changing lighten load to heavy-armor priests only. I was frustrated by this at the time since I didn't feel like there was much warning (Which meant that I logged into carrying 180 pounds with a 120 pound max load), but I understood the reasoning since before the lighten load change, tribunals were heavily favored over cabals. I wasn't, at the time, aware that there was any tribunal which still had lighten load.

So why don't we just level the playing field and every tribunal gets the same thing!

I see rifts being a HUGE advantage over lighten load, but that is just me. Don't hoard so much and you won't need lighten load.

Lighten load isnt as sick as you people make it out to be. My character (who admittedly is a giant) is still over half carrying capacity even with lighten load and he's not hardly carrying anything. Nerina is the city of Dulrik and as a result the priest NPCs follow Dulrik, its a part of the RP of the city. Tribunals are not balanced with each other and never have been. I would LOVE to lose lighten load to get some GM NPCs to control, or some other compensation but as it is lighten load is something that makes the talons unique...what is wrong with that?
