She brings up a good point. I've played a couple of giants here and there and the weight is absolutely ridiculous. In newbie gear, I was often running around at 350/500 lbs. Giants are supposed to be strong and lob boulders and such. The problem with that is, you can never get enough ammo. You can carry, if you're lucky -maybe- 3 boulders if that because they weigh anywhere from 75-200 lbs or more. On top of armor and then weapons, you can't carry much as a Giant at all.

This makes absolutely no sense seeing that a Human can carry 550 lbs with giant strength as well and their armor weighs absolutely nothing compared to that. If anything, Humans need some sort of nerf or Giants need a buff. It's pretty odd that Humans are the best at almost everything as it is. Giants have some pretty nasty racial weaknesses with lightning and their size (Which limits them from getting in a lot of places actually.)

Humans are supposed to be the most common race and have no drawbacks. They don't have drawbacks (such as increased weight of armor) and have only the bonus attribute max for their racial advantage (unlike races like giant that get mastered bash, edamage, and boulder no matter what their class, not to mention the innate bonus to bash and damage from size alone).

If you want to be a boulder chucking giant, play one that doesn't wear full heavy armor (the only reason you wouldn't have a ton of carrying room for boulders). It's a tradeoff, and one that's reasonable given the other advantages of the race.

I really think it should be scaled down a few pounds. Even if the armor was lessened by maybe 5 lbs the cumulative effect over the whole kit would be 35lbs. Not too much, not too little, but at least a little something.

Just be glad the weights are based in this world, do you realized how heavy a steel suit of armor would actually be for a person twelve to fifteen feet tall?

You could also add a size bonus to strength. I don't see a reason why a giant shouldn't be able to carry around 1000 lbs naturally. And it does seem odd to me/unnatural that a human can run around with 475lbs of stuff unbuffed. The size bonus to strength shouldn't affect dmg though as it is already accounted for.

A Giant cannot even wear a freaking iron Claymore. This needs to be looked at and brought down a bit, it's just stupid.

Alvarro has a great point, a giant would be able to at least lift a small car which is ~1500 lbs. Only problem with messing with the strength stat is it would increase giant damage alot which is already ridiculous.

A size bonus to str is a cool idea. Maybe a +50 lb bonus for each size over medium.

A size bonus to carrying capacity would make playing any large race other than a griffon palatable: As it stands now, a centaur or giant merc/barb is almost guaranteed to be over half capacity.

1.5x times your carrying capacity if you're large, 2.0x if you're giant.

The problem here would be hoarding tiny items I guess, but it makes sense that they'd all fit in your pocket...
