Could be a number of things, but people won't do anything until they are ready. I have seen similarities in a number of sk people and myself, but I am just projecting. I can say syn seems like she has an issue but I can't make her get help. Wish she would as would some others, bake their lives more enjoyable and less full of frustration.

Perhaps being baked is what happened in their lives...

I was never baked, I was born this way and something bad happened, and now I pick up the pieces and put myself together. While some people do damage themselves, those that have and those that haven't need help. They have to want the help and I wish more people did so they didn't live in whatever darkness they are in.

Syn is wonderful to RP with sometimes, but I shy away from her for her actions too often, I wish she was more consistent and happier so I could experience that wonderful side of her more often.

Before you guys start slinging out diagnoses, my mother, a psychiatric nurse, had pointed me to this dose of idiocy:

ROFL, doctors and their idiocy. They will do ANYTHING in order to have their stupid names on a published paper.

I think ardith is just trying to derail this thread as fast as possible, so that nobody has to reflect on Syn.

Syn-

I don't recommend you come back to this game. I do recommend Starcraft II and Dwarf Fortress for video gaming alternatives- both offer nearly endless challenge and problem-solving opportunities.

If you need to scratch a high fantasy itch, try some of the old school RPGs, such as Baldur's Gate or Planescape, or just read some of the better books in fantasy genres.

That said, when you come back, I'd recommend making a Harlequin.

Advantages:

1. You could kill anyone you want without having to change characters, and without having to permanently commit to the "light V dark" PK scene that you find yourself occasionally consumed by.

2. Your character can have a sense of humor, which you would probably enjoy.

3. You could have a toolkit that would allow for excellent RP opportunities, and you could engage in manipulation and subterfuge (to whatever end) in lieu of mutely jlooting the entire server.

All this being said, I highly encourage you to take as new a direction as possible, both with your character's presentation, which you partially accomplished through Keleza, but also with your general behavior. While a Harlequin would liberate you from the need to have consistent allies/enemies and the need to get involved in the light V dark arena, a character cannot be defined by what it is not. Try to find a compelling, different, original personality for your next incarnation, be it this or some better idea.

Also, that paper is a piece of satire on the criteria (or lack thereof) used to define mental disorder at the time of the publishing.

For a community so veteran to trolling, I might have hoped you could recognize your own kind.
