Just a thought on magic rooms.
For some new players it would be nice to see..

You walk north.
You feel yourself starting to lose control of your spells as you approach this direction.

instead of

You walk north.
You walk north.
You lose control of all your spells and charms/controls.
XXXX looks angry and charges!
XXXX's slap does UNSPEAKABLE things to you.
You are DEAD!!

What do you think?

Yea. And when you knew all about where the fytrysks were and you would stay away from them, always looking around, you would eventually still die. The reason being a newbie running past you with a fytrysk on their tail. Damn! Happened SO many times :)

If anything there might should be fair warning in the room description, but definitely nothing coded. In the most dangerous area of the game there are actually warnings in the room descs.
