I imagine you are talking about a certain crystal ball? That is also pretty awesome.

The crystal ball is not "Imm-granted", and it crumbles after X amount of uses.

There is another scry item in the game that anyone can use. Where it is and how to get it is up to the rest of you to figure out.

The one that lets you see inside the inns? That one is only okay.

I kinda agreed with OldeSword's post. I imagine being PKed repeatedly and daily is probably more hassle than sitting in jail.

Pk is enjoyable, even sometimes when you lose. Jail is in no way enjoyable, especially when you get upwards of 20+ days (sometimes reaching 400+ for some people) because not only do you lose everything but you get to sit afk doing nothing at all until that time is up or someone breaks you out.

Also, If you're getting pk'd daily you either need to:

A) Get some armor and get it enchanted before attempting to pk again.

B) Learn to pk better before running suicidal into fights that you're guaranteed to lose.

C) Join in group pk instead of solo pk, and learn from the leader on how to become better at your class.

You continue to miss the point. I could care less about getting killed or losing all of my stuff. Its just bits of data, there's no experience loss, and gear is replaceable. One day this MUD will shut down and all your epic loot will be gone though you'll probably have deleted long before then.

I'm talking about the complaints I receive from players that the rampant griefing interferes with the RP which is why I and other people play SK. Let's be honest here: The PK system on SK is pretty lacking, to be polite. If I wanted to play solely for killing other players, I'd play WoW or maybe even some other MUD. I play SK because the first time I logged in I was treated to some RP (in Exile) and have continued to experience pretty good RP since.

I joined the Keepers as a newb for RP reasons and stick around for the same. People do still play this game because they think it is an RPE MUD and they have a character they want to try. Not all of them think about which team they want to join and then determine the best way to PK.

Still, the original point of my message is this: Actions have consequences, even if the consequences are pretty weak (you were in jail for how long?). Don't complain because the people who want some peace and quiet finally managed to lock you up in a cell. Especially since it isn't like this was a surprise. You knew what the risks were when you started PKing in the city. You seem to be just fine with inconveniencing or irritating other players for your enjoyment so you look foolish complaining the moment you are inconvenienced or annoyed.

That said, I have been thinking about how both groups of players can get more of what they want.
