Almost all my characters have been left-handed except Seremela and some alt. I thought left-handiness was dominant in SK like right-handiness is dominant in real life.

I'm pretty sure it's a coin-flip on how you turn out, which is a much more even distribution than real life.

And as others have said, in terms of combat mechanics, it makes no difference (although I think Finney mentioned a looong time ago that disarm on dual-wielders used to remove the right hand weapon first?).

Back in the day, disarm always hit the right hand first - whether it had a weapon, shield or off-hand item like a scroll, wand, or stave. Therefore, it was highly advantageous to have a left-handed character if you played a melee archetype, so that your off-hand would get disarmed before your weapon hand.

asking why it's so important to you isn't really rude. It's just curious. A good answer might be, "I want to roleplay a left handers rights activist who runs around preaching about how all maces seem to be made for right handers," or maybe, "I'm left handed and I want to be able to identify with my character more," or perhaps, "I like the letter L". Maybe you have a thing for left handedness because you are playing a Markifian (spelling?) priest and you identify order with right handedness? Curiosity can be rude, but nobody asked how old you are or what you weighed.

Man I missed these forums.
