Of course, it isn't like any race sorcerer can't easily become any other race to fit the current situation at the drop of a hat, so honestly, if you want the MOST OP'd combo, it'd be a grey-aura'd sorcerer who polymorphed into a deep-elf unless he was fighting paladins. But you knew that already, didn't you?
Yeah, one of the reasons that I deleted Joseph before getting into too much pk was that I quickly realized that sorc is just too OP. It was fun when I was brand new to the game and was still able to completely dominate, but once I actually knew what I was doing, it was just a little sickening to see how absurdly awesome my character was, and how it had very little to do with my skill. You know? I remember how I was going to use faerie fire and then this triple FoD scroll I scored quickly followed by a triple harm scroll I had. Man, it would have been so easy, and required no skill whatsoever, but it would have killed 80% of the mud. If that didn't work, hell, I'd have had to rely on one of the fifty other sure-fire ways of ganking someone with a sorc. Or just recalled and collected the scrolls again!!
Anyways, I'm glad you agree that if this change were implemented, you'd be able to just polymorph and it wouldn't be a huge deal where you were suddenly shafted.
And for the record, if I had -really- wanted to twink, Joseph would have been a deep-elf who polymorphed into a human when paladins were around, instead of a human who generally stayed in deep-elven form. Remember when I rolled, all the good wands were darkie-only. That didn't fit with the grey-aura concept I had worked out for him, though. You're in a perfect position to realize my dream, though!
