I don't know if this belongs in the discussion but I must say it is SO EASY to drain cabal coffers it's not even funny.

Taxes and members grinding coin and dumping it into the coffers isn't enough to keep cabal coffers with some coin in them. Either bounty NPCs need to be way cheaper or grinding coin needs to be way easier because it's way too easy to drain coffers.

I would disagree that these economy discussions are too far advanced. Economics is really nothing but the study of human nature, specifically as it relates to trade. While goods and services and means of production might change over time, human nature largely remains the same. And so the basic economic forces that act upon markets today are largely the same as they have for a very long time.

Agreed. The relationship between supply and demand didn't have to be "invented." It's what happens when there are markets. There are three votes that the economy code improves SK. If one of those people wants to present an argument, I'd like to hear it.

If you buy a gallon of milk, and then realize you need to buy another, that second gallon isn't already going to be more expensive. So one of the problems is prices update far too quickly.

I did make changes already to deal with this valid complaint. You can now buy items in multiples and all items you purchase simultaneously will be the same price. No, it doesn't exactly fit your gallon of milk example, but prior to that change, you always had to pay the increasing higher price. Now you can avoid it if you bring the right amount of money and think before buying.

Code update is going in shortly that will fix a few bugs, including polymorph, and problems when buying limited items from shops. I also included an experimental change where Amateur-Novice items are exempt from the supply and demand factors and then they ramp up on Initiate-Apprentice items before hitting the rate they are already at now for everything else. I think that will help deal with the unfriendliness to newbie problem.

OMFG I can't believe you, I play warrior classes that NEED those vials that are 10 obsidian a piece. Please for the love of GOD listen to some sense and just reverse the Code update. I'm such a casual player it's bad enough that I get looted bi monthly but to have to not only get ran through the grinder of the enchanting machine, but to then go farm coin just to be capable for a the time that I'm free is so sad to me, so sad indeed.

You make me wanna delete;delete

It wasn't the change I was looking for, but thank you for taking my concern seriously and trying to address it. Hopefully the change will help. I don't know which items are low enough level to be affected by this, though, so I'm not sure how much of an affect this will have (by that, I really mean that I just don't know). Even if it affects the brass armor sold in Nerina, that would be great.

There aren't any vials that are anywhere near ten obsidian a piece, and there are many vials that are below or around four platinum, which, given that the success rate for brewing is so high, isn't all that bad.
