Hellfire wands hurt less than a GM hellion casting it, they have limited charges, and they're difficult to reclaim. The acid blast and cone of cold wands already got nerfed pretty heavily. I've never seen the BoG wand before, but I'm sure that while powerful, it's not as powerful as a GM paladin casting it.
I mean, a priest hasn't dedicated his life to studying the arcane as much as a sorcerer, but he can go into the ethereal plane with just a scroll. I don't see you whining about that, even though I've put just about as much effort into obtaining that "privilege" as you have (Joining a religion and leveling to mentor is sooooo hard.).
While it's certainly amusing to see you try to draw attention away elsewhere, the reason I played Terrell was to gather information. In other games I've played there's no way in hell you can create a stave of magma spray, which is a very high level spell. The high limit for potions in D&D for example is level 3 spells, and it costs *a lot* to produce these, especially if I were to produce them in the quantity that I do on SK. The best healing potion someone can get I believe is something like cure moderate wounds, which doesn't even compare to an SK heal vial.
Crafting wands only lets you do up to 4th level spells. These spells aren't anywhere near the potency of spells like magma spray.
I don't actually have a problem with scrolls, so long as Dulrik doesn't make it impossible to scribe etherealform (but if there was still a move to remove pre-described etherealform scrolls). Sorcerers would likely be the majority holder of these scrolls, and probably would be more picky about who they give them out to. On the other side, it would also increase social interaction between characters who might need these things.
Also, look at the bright side. Mirror image use on other classes would go down too.
As far as item changes, maybe some items would initially be useless, but it would at least give builders something to do to change things and make things interesting again.
