I've seen people have conversations with little more then glances. I am sure I have missed plenty of others.

On the other hand, Incendax, it is also morally equivalent to attacking someone for walking up to you and trying to convince you to betray your nation by disbanding your formation right before an enemy warparty walks into the room. Since there are a lot of shades of potential persuasions and the code cannot distinguish one from another it is accurately classified as aggressive.
Attacking someone for trying to convince you to betray your nation is quite morally reprehensible, even if it is legally treason in many countries. It seems out of the question to consider coding persuasion attempts to recognize the nationality of the persuader. Meanwhile, a blanket limitation of being ignored after a failed persuasion would be significantly easier to code.

Of course, the entire issue is rather low-priority.

Persuasion is not the common skill of one using words to convince someone else. It says it clearly in the helpfile that it includes the use of magic. In a game where even non-magic users can use mental "tells" and replies I consider that the bard does not really need to use vocals to perform persuasion, a whisper or two perhaps, even a mental "tell". It's more of a mental/magic skill.

all minotaurs should get intimidate, and if target a is intimidated by player b, all of b's persuasions towards a are insta-success. this is of course after minotaurs become bards too.

too bad intimidate can't be "used" without a attacking b first.

Oh, and...

Ring around the roses,
Pocket full of posies,
Ashes, ashes,
We all fall down!

It's ring around the rosie, not roses, and it is a very innocent looking, yet tragically deadly song. Look up for its origins ;)

While death is generally considered a bad thing, that particular plague is responsible for the rise of capitalism. I view that a net positive, though your philosophical outlook may vary.
