Buff MC by removing Grep!:D jk

But really, if you can militia other factions, that means your allies can be allowed to fight for your city, it is like all of your ideas in one!

Ummm. . .what syn said should be painfully obvious. If you let people do hammer/keeper or guardian/druid, MC would need a buff.

laez1, the tribunal side of the MC is much weaker than any other tribunal, and the cabal side of the MC is much weaker than any other cabal. This is the only reason it is at all balanced atm. Also, the harlequins don't need a buff, ever, especially if a secret harlequin would be able to join a tribunal as well.

edit: looks like syn beat me to it.

It's not painfully obvious.

So Hammer/Keeper is...the Hammer. With law immunity. And a NPC in their homelands.

Whereas you have Midnight who is Midnight...with law immunity...and NPCs...

Right.

That whole cabal side and tribunal side being weaker than any other is absolute trash. It's a flimsy excuse at best. There may an argument to be made for balancing Midnight with the rest of the cabals, but equalizing and condensing the player organizations isn't and shouldn't be one of them. I'm not saying I agree with the argument to be made. Shield wall and emperor's favor are #$*&ing ridiculous, ESPECIALLY since the incredible nerf to two-handed weaponry and character-size impacts on damage and to-hit. #@*$ing ridiculous. As far as your claim to a wimpy-ass leadership selection...either things have grotesquely warped and changed since I left, or you guys just need to explore way better. I can still think of a few that are in the game.

I would rather have 3 MC'ers with shield wall and emp's favor than 3 Fists (well, maybe not griffon fists, but any other kinda fist) in my front row any day of the week and twice on sundays. That says a lot.

Midnight is about as gimmicky and situational as charge for the Hammer, as is. If people have to absolutely cry for a buff, my opinion would be make shield wall a large passive bonus grouped or not. Just make it grow (as it currently and always has) with the number of people in the front row with shields.

Being able to militia other factions would probably be just as much, if not moreso troublesome to code than just allowing dual membership. Make it something Dulrik can easily turn on and off if and when we ever get back to high player peaks.

As a recent Councilwoman myself, I can tell you that certain favorable spells are nowhere near as useful as you may at first believe.

In addition, as both a Councilwoman and a Talon, I can flat-out tell you that real tribunals have better NPCs. Even with Kimbry's favorite, there were still so many things that were impossible to have.

Let's play a game where I say a random word.

Resurrection.

Baldric and Syn are like the Brangelina of the MUD. It is so cute.

What if there were a limit to the number of chracters allowed in each cabal, but not in the tribunals?

Any of the cabals would be that much more devestating if only nine characters were able to use it. Let the military/guard have the armies of people, and the leaders of the tribunals (i.e. the hypothetical cabals) have those neato abilities, as well as ordering the guards around.

oh yes, because anything to make the circle jerk that much tighter would be simply fabulous

the best thing that could be done for organizations at the present moment is to automate the leadership process. What do I mean by this? members, in-game, can cast votes for who should be flagged leaders. the frequency could vary depending on the cabal or whatever. top two win. when a leader goes inactive, a vote is automatically triggered.

no patron action required. no synchronous logins required.

I suggested this when I was a Harlequin, and I sincerely hope it did not get lost along the way.

If you think being in a tribunal is about bodyguards, well... nevermind. This is Gameplay.

You can't tell me people don't join tribunals so they can have an army of NPCs fight for them instead of relying on their self. Buffs are just icing on the cake.
