There seems to be an argument for socialist revolution in here somewhere.

On a second and different note, I'm fine with spreading the enchant ability out among all the classes. Make it a skill for non-caster classes. I'm fine with removing the time wasting features of exploding, fading, and nothing enchant results. I'm also fine with adding a target for the enchant. Enchant would have to be made to work differently. What if the gear you enchanted could hold one enchant for every ten levels of the item? So any item over level 40 would be able to hold five enchantments. 30-39 would hold four, 20-29 three, 10-19 two and 1-9 a single enchantment. When the item is maxed out and additional enchants are added, the oldest one comes off. So you could re-enchant gear if you decide you don't want the breastplate you have with five MP, instead you want three MP two fort, you enchant it two times for fortitude and it would be 3MP/2 Fort.

Personally I dislike all aspects of the game which are focused on creating a time requirement. No it doesn't require enchantments to take part in PK. It takes enchantments to survive in PK. Why do many people tell me they stop playing? They say they don't have the time to keep up with all the time sinks. Anything that reduces that time sink is beneficial to the game in my book.

Did I stutter? Every tribunal has a mobile which can enchant.

No, that'd be crap. Only being able to have 5 enchants on a piece? :/

Spells would destroy the hell out of you.

Not necessarily. Only those spells you were weak to. 10+ pieces of gear means over 50+ enchants. That would be enough to have a very strong resistance to two different categories of spells. It would be possible to have 20 each of fort/will/reflex. That's a pretty good chunk.

All classes have an opportunity to being able to enchant from joining a tribunal, they don't all have the ability to. And then its all random, and they aren't reliable with enchanting armor.

If the number of enchantments could be limited, then maybe we could see more spells that buff and debuff those categories, like the shield and spell ward spells affect MP and MR.
