Fatigue from weaker spells is less powerful than fatigue from stronger spells. Go have a GM giant strength you, wait out its fatigue, then go eat a weak GS or haste herb. The difference is pretty stark.

I'm back with further information. The first test was done at Initiate 5 and enough experience to advance to the next level. The second test was done immediately after the level up. All measurements were done with a stopwatch.

Giant Strength and Fatigue
I5 Test 1: 5.41 and 11.05
I5 Test 2: 5.27 and 11.31
I5 Test 3: 6.06 and 12.21
I5 Test 4: 5.32 and 10.54
I5 Test 5: 5.57 and 11.45
I5 Test 6: 5.35 and 12.22
I5 Test 7: 5.12 and 11.10
I5 Test 8: 5.67 and 11.05
I5 Test 9: 6.34 and 11.24
I5 Test 10: 6.01 and 11.29

A1 Test 1: 8.34 and 17.52
A1 Test 2: 8.54 and 17.55
A1 Test 3: 8.51 and 18.23
A1 Test 4: 8.31 and 19.01
A1 Test 5: 9.14 and 17.32
A1 Test 6: 8.22 and 18.12
A1 Test 7: 8.26 and 17.04
A1 Test 8: 8.44 and 17.35
A1 Test 9: 8.19 and 17.21
A1 Test 10: 8.37 and 16.48

I will repeat this test again at A5 and J1. So far evidence dictates that the duration of the Fatigue is twice as long as the duration of Giant Strength. There is some difference which can be attributed to the variable tick length. In truth, I was surprised to see such a drastic difference between I5 and A1.

Shouldn't you be measuring this in ticks, not minutes?

No, this is real testing. Dude's doing it the right way, I'm just curious why he's measuring in real time and not ticks.

...wait, are gstr and fatigue on the fast-time affects system?

I know it is real testing. I know he's doing it the right way. I just don't know why he's posting numbers here publicly when it's known that they don't really want us to do that. Plus I was pretty obviously just poking at him. I'm pretty sure he can take it.

I would be glad to measure it in ticks, but I'm rather new and have no clue how to measure something in ticks. My best guess would be measuring how many times my prompt shows up, but I am uncertain.

I can take it just fine. :P That said, I don't see the problem with posting my findings here. These numbers don't seems to represent anything a min/maxer could take advantage of. Perhaps I am mistaken.

The only real way to test that is if you have something that will trigger on every tick. Hunger/thirst/poison etc.

Alright, I cast Giant Strength the moment I got hungry.

I saw 8 instances of "You are Hungry", including the first, before Giant Strength ended.

I saw 16 instances of "You are Hungry" before before Fatigue ended.

If that's a pretty consistent occurence, I guess we can just safely call it double. Veddy insteresting.
