I was, personally, shocked and upset when this happened, but nothing more. I made my choice and will stick with it for a while as it opens some interesting windows, however I will state that I would have much rather been permitted to keep using the door, so to speak. I still see nothing wrong in the way I play(ed?) Halela, and don't want to waste the 200+ hours I have put into her at the time.

Can only recall one vague incident when she was young, JUST prior to joining Chaos that she helped kill a more or less innocent darkie. Lots of duels since, but she just honestly likes her profession as a barbaric fighter. So... Check.

Others and she would openly state that she "doesn't like laws", let alone the red-tape of bureaucracy. I suppose this would be the only part I may have broken by skipping frustration for outright dislike, and on a few occasions, hate for the "system".

There are so many things I could add to this but would be considered IC info, and as I plan to keep her for a time (hell, play her for an hour or two today even), I'll just have to re-read this thread when she eventually reaches the Afterlife forum.

BTW, during all this I started re-reading some help files...
'help marfik' ... has already been picked to death, I'll leave it be.

'help griffon' is actually fairly vague and only definitive in the appearance aspect of a griffon. This help file does not mention auras other then that griffons "are thought to be the product of a powerful good wizard's
magic."

'help griffon-culture' is a short one, nothing I would really argue with there. I will argue that many seem to make up their own perceptions of griffon culture likely based off the actions of very few players of old, or books written ICly by players that one could argue are or are not true fact of griffons if compared to the incredibly vague help entries.

And for the record, I didn't ask anyone to defend me and the last thing I wanted was for a big stink to be raised, but perhaps it is at least true that some clarifications need to be made to multiple races, groups, and alignments. Being a pretty solid griffon-only player, I strongly support this, so long as the changes made are fairly reasonable (and in a way characters like Halela and Aria are my own way of attempting a change, yet still doing my best to keep to the defined rules at the time). I would even go as far as saying a dark griffon (ie. like the Felgryphs' in the Laskieran Gardens on the Maze side).

Any other IMMs interested and want my un-cut log of the event, in color html as BeipMU is pretty awesome for that, let me know. Or any other log for that matter, I keep nearly everything.

Don't get too pissed at Marfik, if anything has come of this it is that the help system really does need a bit of a cleanup in the aforementioned sections at least. If anyone really want's to blow some steam off or make a comment to myself personally, I finally got YIM, or you can PM me.

I ramble when I'm upset, finnished.

[EDIT] Was missing a -
- box.

My question is this though, because you seem to have skimmed over the most important part of that help file.
They will do things that would otherwise be questionable, to achieve their goals, and these goals need to be somewhat consistant with those of a light aura character. What was your goal?

From my observations the goal was to get drunk and pick fights.

If it is not IC to say so, since the beginning it has always been the pursuit of what she believes is true freedom for herself and occasionally trying to spread her belief to make it easier to accomplish.

Also, was it really necessary to quote my whole post to ask that?

Then you just basically said yes, you weren't roleplaying a scrup character since by your own statement here and elsewhere apparently you were playing a selfish character.

Yes, yes it was since I didn't want to look like I was taking you out of context.

I don't recall anything saying you cannot be selfish if you are scrupulous. Is selfish another alignment... checking... checking... oh! Big surprise, it's not. Try again.

He was probably referring to....

Principled -- good
Scrupulous -- good
Dogmatic -- selfish
Unprincipled -- selfish
Anarchist -- selfish
Aberrant -- evil
Miscreant -- evil
Diabolic -- evil

You need to read the help files, and at least attempt to act within them.

It seems that it was part of three alignments! Guess he doesn't need to try again after all.
