I know I'm simultaneously beating two dead horses here, but leveling a shaman is now worse than before with the level changes. It's horrible until you get flamestrike at journeyman, and then, leveling is easy for five levels until you reach veteran, at which point leveling becomes impossible once again.

It's boring, it's nothing but a grind, and I'm thinking about deleting perfectly good characters because I don't want to level them up to Master (no reason for GM alts, really). I don't think I'm the only one here.

Magic missile, cause light or equivalent should be available as a novice, or leveling should be made easier until level 40. To make the game playable.

Shamans and Priests are the worst levelers. The end.

Once shaman gets control weather + lightning, it is pretty fast leveling in the right conditions. Then spirit horde is experience to the extreme all the way to grandmaster. Agreed though, either spirit aura or flamestrike could be bumped lower in status.

I never had any problems leveling a shaman before and now.

Once a shaman gets spirit horde, leveling is a breeze.

Unfortunately, that doesn't happen for 36 levels if I recall correctly.

If I can manage to GM a shaman, anyone can.

QFT. I suck at levelling, seriously, but I think shamans are fairly easy to level. You get the cures against undead until you get flamestrike, control weather, lightning, and spirit aura/horde, which all carries you the rest of the way.
