Uh I don't believe that with over 20 will power you can get charmed with scrolls. I did testing with Amadre and with roughly 24 will I was resisting his 16 art 24 cha gm sorc charms about 4/5 times. That means I was left with roughly 8 willpower, and even that small amount helped a shitload. I don't believe that after taking into account the -6 from scrolls you would still get charmed with 14 will. although maybe you guys just have awful wisdom and don't realize that its probably raping your roll against all forms of mental attacks.

But yes, charm is one of the most vicious spells in the game now. However nothing has changed in the last long while so the fact that your all figuring this out now is laughable. Also those scrolls in tlaxcala have been around for ages so complaining about those is laughable too.

It's not being "figured out right now." The average player runs around without any enchantments to begin with. Secondly there used to be a not so powerful charm person stave that was used to absolutely destroy groups of players, so its not a tactic that is "new."

Oh yeah, because it's been that way for a long time - arguments cannot do anything about it. Sleep had been the way it was for a long time before it was clearly shown in game that it was horribly imbalanced - and that got changed, and I'm sure most would agree that it was for the better.

It was wimped soon after you died to it by necropolis, I think that was one of the logs involved in bringing about the change.

It wasn't wimped before that, to my knowledge. Are you referring to the wimp that made it so you cannot maledict people who are asleep...? That's what I am referring to. I had thought that everyone in the Nephias fight (I was Gilgon at the time, actually) was maledicted in that log...but not sure.

And sorry if I sounded like a dick above.

Just outside necropolis, I remember that one. Not just fully maledicted, a druid was gated in to keep entangle - just to be 110% sure. Sleep was [REDACTED], just as charm is now.

Naw you could lay every malediction in the book on a sleeping target beforehand.
