No they dont. But there should be some proof. Now Nav could have seen him kill something, because he was invis (I just caught that) but we dont have that in this log.

I am not defending him said that he didnt do anything wrong. We all know OOC that he was killing the NPCs there. I am attacking Nav reaction of kill kill kill.

Again you are wrong, The cops will not kill you on sight if you pull a knife on someone. They will use and and all means to try and work the problem out before they result to kill the person.

I find the ongoing analogy of Peacekeepers to cops to be a poor one. Not that an analogy can't be made... after all, Peacekeepers ARE the enforcers of the law, just like cops, but they have a role that goes far beyond that of the police. They are not only the police, but the military as well, and they are intended to function in a militant fashion. The on-the-spot judgement you get from someone playing that role is and should be a helluvalot different than a cop. Cops don't shoot on sight, even when they know you're flat-out guilty, and especially not if you're from their own country.

Lighties should be given some leeway, with consideration of the fact that this is a medieval and militant society, and this should be considered an opportunity for roleplay rather than anything else. Is that guy actually not guilty? Then he should be petitioning someone to do something about it.

So yeah, it should be taken into consideration whether the lightie had any -IC- reason to believe that the guy was a killer. Like bodies, deathcries from the next room or bodyparts. Anything else, those OOC clues, like a piece of equipment on the ground or a missing person... that's just pushing it beyond credibility and simply opens the door to people pk'ing anyone they feel like on less than a suspicion and calling it RPK.

I enjoyed my meetings with Eifas, sadly though because of Bain and certain lighties as well, there was little chance for RP between yourself and I beyond PK RP.

Don't bother arguing with Timeley, even if you win, and disprove his points you're hearing irrational gibber gabber.

Seriously, Take all that IC info out of the log. Like the cabal / Tribunal spells / skills and the convo on the CB chat.

I approve this kill, I mean seriously...If your going to kill citizens, dont do it when a trib member of that city is online unless you are looking for a fight.

You're wearing enough raven stuff to erect a small shrine, citizens have been killed in the area, and you're shocked that a Peacekeeper attacks you?

This is a medieval fantasy game. Peacekeepers aren't bound by modern ideas of criminal rights or evidence. Nor does good equal dumb.

Also keep in mind that scrupulous characters are vigilante types. They have good reason to kill evil characters whenever it's convenient. When you chose the aberrant alignment, you accepted this disadvantage. In this case, even a principled character would have been hard-pressed to find a non-violent solution, given his oath to the kingdom. How else could your character have been stopped?

Plus don't half the NPCs in Taslamar send warnings over CB now when they're attacked?

There's a difference between Fist lighties and Hammer/Peacekeeper lighties. I would fully expect the Fist to advocate peace, and the Hammer to advocate the light at any cost.

Lighties see their goodness in different ways, just like darkies can be evil in different ways.

Give people some room to actually RP. I admit that the giant should have had a much better RP session, but you can't just go around killing lighties here and there and not expect retribution from them just because they're "good."

It's not like you're a deep-elf sitting peacefully in an inn and a Peacekeeper comes in randomly and kills you - you WERE guilty of something, even if the giant was pretty lame about it.

Rage deletes make me sad.
