5 GM heals are about 1000 HP. A GM heal on Ghazzhaz is about 13%.

1000 HP is about the limit that GM barbs get with max HP trains. Most swashies/mercs can't hit 1000 HP.

If Ghazzhaz was a giant barb for example wielding weapon/armor/shield or even Balacha in full mithril+2 enchanted good swords, he wouldn't take that much damage. These NPCs would parry/eparry/riposte/shield block half of the attacks, and the priest's heal would do about 22-25% each, so even 1 heal would make some difference and keep the law NPC alive.

Add the fact that a giant sized 8/8 khopesh or 2 good swords on Balacha(even the common katana/wakizashi combo) are able to deal WAY MORE damage than what Ghazzhaz can ever deal and you see that every other tribunal in SK has access to some sick tanks and some sick damage dealers when the Black Hand doesn't.

Thanks peso for posting this log and proving my earlier point.

PS: In another log JVJ's human barb and Lolth's human scout with a tamed trinoceros managed to deal over 50% dmg to Ghazzhaz in 1 round. That takes a GM priest about 6 rounds to heal with spam heal.

So instead of the three tanks that can be used instantly by anyone, along with the sorc guards that can cast haste/shield/armor you'd rather have one giant swashbuckler (like Balacha, who can be summoned, add that) with two standard semi-decent swashie weapons and a 45 priest?

:-?

For the record, Balacha is not a giant. He is large sized. Don't ask me what he is. Guess he's just a big human like the "hulking male human" in Everclear who is also size large.

If you're talking to us, its a +3 dex haste(very low lvl) [REDACTED] veteran lvl shield and armor doesn't do much:P

Which can be countered by charming some GMs ahead of time, which you do. As for Haste/Giant, that's easy enough for a PC GM to cast, since it doesn't take any concentration. The Shield bit is a bit tricky, as I'm sure you know, since there are few GM charms that can cast shield.

Edit: Basically, I don't think Benjamin would have done quite so well solo protecting the moot if he couldn't dart in and get those three, battle ready, at a moments notice. Low-damage or not.

I could, I'd just use other NPCs, and dominates that are fully geared. Those NPCs never were the ones that did much, it was always the necrophidi.

As for the rest, you're saying that we shouldn't be able to prepare ourselves (while taking longer) than other ppl can?

I'm saying that you don't have to do anything in order to have a perfectly decent tank. You could use a dominate, yes, but you'd have to gear it if you want it to be effective. And while protecting the moot, since you have three, you can just go back for more once the first one starts fighting.

I can still do that with any other NPCs there, they are just the easiest to get, if you look at a recent log on [REDACTED], you'll see bromus bringing in every and any easily obtained guard NPC to me.:P
