Levels and classes of NPCs aside, I've witnessed the CoN NPCs take more punishment than any other NPC available to any other tribunal.


That being said: Is CoN overpowered? - Not really.

Heck, I'd even say they should have more stuff to defend their turf with, seeing how they are, and likely will always be at war with everything else.

If the adepts come back we'll see.

The only thing I am not happy with is the powercombos available to a tribunal with the best NPC tank NPCs and hellion intimidation vs other cities.

There was a saying we used a few years back which is still true now.
'Cut into krychire without a paladin? I'd rather cut my own throat'.
Just don't go there without paladins.

I'll concede they're not OP but I do think they need to be tweaked, as should ALL the tribunals. The trio is too much. Standardize please? Of course keeping in mind area themes and so on...

Your second sentence is exactly I didn't want to hear.

Talons need someone who can gate and another tank NPC, that's for sure.

The question is simple.

Do you want cookie cutter tribunals? Do you want to happen to them what happened to cabals when CRS was implemented?

If yes, you can propose standarization of the tribunals. I like how every tribunal has advantages and weaknesses, different from the next. The overall outcome should be balanced though imo. And as it is now, I agree it's not. Some tribunals are more powerful than others. The Black Hand is not one of them.

Keepers vs. Hand is balanced, and arguably, so is GoA. Talons is too low. Midnight trib is balanced by other abilities.

Of course noone wants cookie-cutter.

Just bring Talons in-line and it'd be good... I guess that's the conclusion.

Funny that a thread about how OP a trib is actually turns out to be how underpowered another trib is. Whatever's best though.

If you want standardization, I have an Atari 2600 in my wardrobe. It's the kind of change that would make me get bored of the game. If someone doesn't want to take advantage of the possibilities of his tribunal, it doesn't make the rest of the tribunals overpowered. Also the fact that most people [REDACTED] about tribunals only when the said tribunals have many members says it all. It's just another qq thread.

ps: I didn't even know some of the things Canibbal pointed out. And that's because Talons usually cry for the rest of the tribunals to be wimped and not for their tribunal to come to par with the others. Make Balacha unsummonable and stop their casters from moving. Give them also one more NPC of higher level. The rest of the tribunals are equally strong. It could make things really bad trying to twink such minimal differences.

They actually need at least two more NPC's to be balanced, like I wrote above, three if you want them on par with Keepers/Hand.

They have a freaking swashie. Why do they need another tank?

Has any Talon tried to give Balacha some great MP mithril and 2 wakizashis/epees perhaps? There is the best law NPC tanking of SK.

Oh, I don't know, just because you get THREE other tanks as does Keepers, not to mention rifts wherever you want and like 4 priests via charm person.

Outfitting Balacha is a fantastic idea. Let's just give away our mithril to people who can summon him!

I gave him a suit of mod mp/mod save mithril and two kamas. He kicked [REDACTED]...Until Benjamin killed him. :cry:

D-A is insane if he thinks that'd tank better than one of the CoN NPCs. And you don't have to prep those NPCs at all.
