If I lost in a mode stun duel to someone with a 1h weapon when neither of us were hasted/gs'd, I still don't consider that to be a 1v1 loss.

I think my pvp accomplishments as Hadaro spoke for themselves.

Same can be said about the hammer. The only time anyone really felt that they were anything of a threat is when Paern was around. Dunno, maybe the unnamed dwarf paladin will be good.

Hadaro was one weird-ass guy. I never had any idea what was going through his head, but on the other side I was never sure whether or not he had any serious RP background going. Regardless, flamberge-specced mercs really do rip buttholes.

Also, two-handed weapons almost always beat one-handed weapons. The main exception to that rule is just kamas.

Hadaro was still a good guy, but i prefer one handed specs and two handed specs that reach. Carvahall was just an uber tank though, no offense but he lasted 4 rounds before he needed to flee against a Giant barb, a half-elf swash and Benjamin, all GM I believe. I wont ever forget hadaro helping me train in the ToM though, he was a very helpful dude.

We dueled a few times and he never got me but to like 50%

I honestly have to say that I never had any respect for this character.

He struck me as a giggling (literally giggling) PK character who chose a gray alignment so he could pound anyone he'd like without a pang of remorse, but without getting holy worded or hammered.

He had a discontinued alt who I had some very, very compelling RP with via Aiden, and so I really respect the player and I know he's capable of much, much more. I'm just sad that he decided to play this character.

All the people who use this critique of grey-aura characters should roll a grey and stfu. Its legal for a reason. There are very apparent limitations on grey characters, just as there are advantages (freedoms).

On a side note, I think I'll start a poll in GD concerning the spelling of 'gray' and 'grey'.

I'm not sure if you are aware, but being a gray aura in this mud is far more often bad for you pk-wise than it is good. Coooinnnncceeedddeeeentttallllyy, it happens to be better for a flamberge/bspear merc in the harlequin to be grey aura. But coincidences happen. My last merc in the harlequin was dark aura, my voodoo tank shaman was a dark aura (which isn't good for voodoo). I don't always pick race/aura for pk advantages, but if it fits into a char concept then why not.

I liked Hadaro, always ready and willing..

Hadaro was fun. I loved getting tells from him after he was done mimicing linarumien to tell me 'You lead a busy life!' from all the tells.

He put the harlequin skillset through the test surely enough, but what I liked him more for was his earlier days when he was simply the 'I'll do anything' type of traveler.

I remember things went the wrong way between me and him when something concerning hedonaris happened and Lina had to support the paladin's choice and tell hadaro off, but I can't remember the details.

All in all, I could not smell Gilgon from this character as strong as I could smell it from amodius. In fact, I never knew until much later on, when someone randomly mentioned it to me.

Can't say anything about his later performance, but up to the point when we talked, he was great.
