As it is currently, through a temporary state of transition, Alshain has an active Imm (Achernar) and an active F3 (Elriorith).
In the weeks to come, the church will have 2 active F3's and an active Imm, so I am pretty sure our church was not the case here.

Wrong. As a matter of fact, it is Alshain with which I have had problems. I saw no need to bring a specific [REDACTED], but you shouldn't be so certain of yourself.

But I have had trouble getting in touch with players. I want to be able to RP some before I "ninjar invest XXX" so this requires time on both me, and Elriorith as well as the seeker. Sometimes that is not possible, and I ask for a second meeting if the first was short, or did not happen.

Time limit or no time limit, I will NOT "/invest" a player who I have not Roleplayed with, or invest him without a proper RP for a Ceremony no matter what. Sorry, that's the way I see it.

I have RPed with specific members of the religion to no small extent. Why not, y'know, discuss these things on the religion threads? Maybe ask members to post logs or, at the very least, their impressions.

If it takes weeks to get a first meeting, and you might not invest until a second meeting? It's no skin of your teeth, but to a seeking Priest/Paladin/Hellion, that sucks. And, as far as I know, that goes against the spirit and the letter of the rules of SK.

So yeah, sometimes this drags on a couple of days or so.

Or weeks, as the case may be, and with your attitude possibly months.

Recently I met a seeker who sought Alshain, tried to get him, got in some IMM oriented RP i could not back down from, then when my time was up I tried to contact him and he was alseep again and again. So I met him 2 days later, and he's in another religion. No hard feelings there, but if this is the case mentioned here, you could have waited another 2 days since you waited 2 weeks as you claim.

Not me, so irrelevant to me. And what I claim is true. If you don't believe me, talk to other members of your religion.

Quote:
And in those 2 weeks, dont tell me you saw none of the 23 disciples of Dawn to initiate RP, because I saw no seeker post in forums ;)

I not only saw members of the White Flame, but have RPed with a number of them.

Anyway, patience is rewarding, that is what I have to say. If I make a char to go for Sargas, I will go sargas no matter if it takes me like 3 months or more (OOC time).

Good for you. Go make a priest for Sargas, but don't assume other players are willing to have crippled characters through no fault of their RP or ambition.

If I remember correctly, I remember a character you had in the Keepers. I was impressed with your skill in the game. Not all of us are so blessed and need to progress our characters.

Ah, that's often the problem with having only one F3 in a faith...

That being said, I am the only F3 in my religion as well for some time now, but our pbase is much smaller.

Also, in order to avoid any such problems in the future, if you've been having problems finding your HF, please ask one of the faith members you've been speaking with IC to make a post on the faith boards about your character being a seeker.

I've not seen posts about new seekers for months, even though there are seekers. Its just that people forget to go make a post.

Squirrel, I can understand your frustration, and I can tell you, I've sometimes been boggled by the certainty that some faith/cabal leaders have in themselves, especially those who are active at non-prime hours.

I can fully understand why you felt the need to take it out on Elriorith on the forums, but also keep in mind that SK isn't our job.

If you like the faith but feel like you do not want to bother with a certain HF, feel free to PM the imm directly, give him your character's concept and direction, and he may even promote you straight into F2. I've had this happen in my faith when a player that didn't feel like going through me entered my faith. Just be careful not to do the same mistake he did and believe that an F2 flag means you can do anything :p

If he's never met the character Elriorith in game, I can't see any reason he should be upset with the player of that character. If we have to blame anyone, it would have to be the immortal who didn't promote a second F3 or the playerbase in general for not rolling and sticking with a character to fill the role.

I don't think anyone is at fault here. It's up to the faith's imm to induct him or for him to have a chance meeting with the HF.

let me clarify that.

I meant I understand why he meant to take it out on Elriorith's player on the forums, especially after that post he made.

I would be rather frustrated if I was trying to get into an 'active' religion for that long as well. In my experience, I was trying to get into a dead religion. There was no F3. But, Everan's right: SK isn't our job. These things happen.

I think I saw someone say something about Elriorith being "active"? I loller. I loller very much.

And yes, playing a priest/paladin/hellion is very annoying when you can't get into a religion for weeks+ time.

Elriorith is actually pretty active.

Being in a different timezone that most players doesn't make her less active. Almost every morning(for me) I see Elriorith online for hours.

Elriorith is active but not active during the times peak times a normal U.S. citizen might play.

In that case, there are two others who might have a flag for Alshain or praying up during peak U.S. hours is an option as well.

This is no way disrespectful towards Elriorith, just a comment of something we have found useful, when you have one European leader (be it faith or religion), it is nice to have someone who can cover American peak times.
