All stupid jokes aside, am I the only one feeling that SK is becoming too concentrated on goldfarming, lately?

I'm not sure what changed to make this seem like a problem to you lately. It's been considerably harder to get coin and eq since you can't rob shop keepers, yes. But that's a pretty old change.

Care to elaborate?

Wow, you two are like crazy, it is far, far, far, far easier to get coin now that it ever has been. The system works 100% fine, leave it alone. You don't even need coin for anything except vials/scrolls/NPC priests, so what are you doing "goldfarming"?

I can get 5 obsidian in about 10 minutes with a level 15 character.

I actually have no problem with the way things are now. I do miss robbing shop keeps, but usually it was just for eq for lowbies I was helping.

Also, I like the way the system is now, it gives me something to do when I get really bored. Though I'd like to know what brought this up? If you're spending more than half an hour "goldfarming" as you say, you're doing it completely wrong.

I rp when I'm really bored. I do not play SK if there is no RP.
I was thinking about it for quite some time. In fact, every time I ran out of cash for one reason or the other and -had- to go farm, where I could be doing other things, which then made me think 'hm. I'll have to schedule logging on 1/day at some point to do this tedious task of goldfarming so I don't have to when there is RP to be done. I suppose what really sparked it up however was a WoW gold ad I saw on the right side of these forums I do not disagree with you, but I don't have all day to SK. To me, half an hour spent goldfarming is good enough when it is half an hour a week. Not a day.

What the heck are you doing to where you need to gold farm everyday?

I spend perhaps a half hour once every two weeks making coin to buy vials. I'm not quite sure what else there is to buy out there. Maybe you're brewing for LOTS and LOTS of people! If you are, I suggest making them buy the vials.

Playing in a cabal or a trib where you have to keep the account up?

Mmm. I didn't think about that.

It's easy to get coins, but it's boring to need to do it over and over to keep a cabals coffers full. Tribunals are better then cabals for a variety of reasons and this is one of them. I think for a tribunal all confiscated wealth, and sometimes there can be alot of it, goes into the faction account. So the faction accout sort of takes care of itself.
