Sypher adequately stated my feelings on the mater so now I don't have to type them out. Awesome.

Yeah he's pretty good at doing that. Sypher is the level headed voice of the player base!

There's no such thing.

, while I agree with sypher to an extend myself, it has been proven time and time again that such things cannot be trusted to the playerbase. Once a class seems to be more powerful than the others, It immediately gets a surge of players that want to 'own', and play goes to [REDACTED].

I'll say this much, neccromancers, like paladins, have a number of RP limitations that make life hard on them, which is why they should have some power above average, and I really think that they do as it is.

If there's something I'd like to see on a necromancer, it would be the ability to turn himself to an undead for a period of time, granting him immunities to spells like charm petrification energy drain, resistance to elemental attacks and melee damage, and (more) weakness to holy spells.

The only "more" weak they can get is the undead 1shotabiltity by bolt of glory....and you know I think I'll pass.

Maybe add another spell "Bolster undead" which can keep the undead animated for as long as the necromancer keeps concentration on them.

An interesting thought...

You should all know my feelings, given my obvious bias I'll refrain from commenting other than to say I agree with Thuban.

Wait a second, I thought the concentration added to Animate dead would keep them up now instead of being on a duration timer. So they will still drop dead now?

[REDACTED], no wonder I'll never play this class.

With all of the preparation that a necro takes, scribing scrolls, etc, I think removing the duration for the undead since they take a concetration hit would be just enough of a buff they need.

I mean, it's bad enough that any holy attack utterly destroys, maims, rapes, whatever you wanna call it, undead. BoG can one shot a crap ton I hear, dunno if it's exaggeration or not, but I know it IS nasty vs undead as is holy word and necros, while they are powerful do need something. They don't need a massive boost, but take the duration of the undead out. As long as they can keep the concentration on them, the undead still have magic to feed off of, thus shouldn't decay.

Doesn't make sense that they're magically animated, yet still decay naturally. Goes against the laws of magical physics. (lol.) And that is that if magic feeds a corpse, the corpse doesn't rot. Look at all the undead in krychire. Towering zombies etc, they don't rot. The undead guards don't rot. I think this would be just the boost they need, and also make it so they don't have to carry embalmed corpses around with them, which is a ton of weight that they really can't carry..
