Don't hate the spell, hate the players.

And cause you're... evil.

My character, for instance, was fine with Allikat's until she specifically pointed her aura out. I don't keep it up all the time. Actually I've only used it when at Tlax, for obvious reasons.

Now, since she's done that, I don't ever deal with Allikat's character, nor do I deal with "enemies" and people who have proven themselves to be evil through one way or another. Everyone starts with a clean slate.

It's not EVERYONE who has this spell. Pretending it is reeks of wrist flapping cop-outs.

This thread was dead, leave it lie there. Detect aura and know alignment aren't going anywhere. Know it, understand it, live with it.

The thing is they don't let me RP it out or anything it's just your evil I don't deal with your kind.

Welcome to the SK of today. There isn't much in the way of cross-aura RP anymore other than "DAI EVOL ONE!" or vice versa. It does happen occasionally..but rarely.

That's what SK's been like as long as I've been playing. And why wouldn't it be? I don't want to talk to crazy mass murderers. It makes the oh-so-rare cross aura RP like little gems.

There is no reason to take out these spells. Though, I question their use by casters outside of priests/paladins/hellions/shamans. But it is useful to have for leveling in the very least. And, it aided in me in disallowing certain greybies trying to join the adepts at certain points.
