I really don't know what your own observations are, but for me chain lightning works better than fireball (less casting time, more dmg, almost half mana cost) and I sure have done a ton of kills with it. It's one of the most underestimated warlock spells imo, I most usually preferred it even to a specific room damage spell of the druids.

Can chain be cast from 2 rooms away like fireball can?

No store bought pets for Warlocks. You already have defensive spells, a free beefy pet and light armor. I still fail to see why you deserve a store bought pet and your elemental.

Dominate is not a free pet. It requires quite some concentration and drains quite some mana per tick, something that elementals don't require. That's the main difference between warlocks and other pet classes.

If you want to compare warlocks to another class, that's scouts. They get a concentration free pet also(tame), but they can't buy pets from stores.

I think giving warlocks access to any store bought pet would be to big of a buff. Personally I want to be able to have a magma mephit with my elemental, not so I can be row three, but so I don't have to fly around w/o my elemental if I need the utility of the mephit.

I already have ways to be row three with my lock, and any trib warlock could also be row three.

Warlocks don't really need a store bought pet, but as far as defensive spells go, what with the MASSIVE amount of magic reaching weapons in the game now, anybody with half of a brain can destroy a warlock. I'd give a warlock roughly 4 hits before they'd die. I mean Jesus, I can name roughly 7 battle-whips that do magic damage and reach. And that's just one type of weapon.

That'd honestly be way too big of a buff. And if that did happen, I think they'd need to remove all the stone skin scripted items, and remove brew from warlocks, lol.

o.o

Edit : However, I was thinking, didn't magic weapons get changed so that they do 50/50 damage?
