Is that an affect that can be inserted in the affects list? Like if I can't get to a warlock and he's spamming fireball on me, can I look at affects and see "helpless" on it?

If it makes you feel any better, the warlock isn't getting any XP from killing you whether you're helpless or not. :)

Alvarro obviously thinks it should be impossible to level.

I think that if a NPC is bashed or tripped, or feebleminded or taunted, it should be helpless also then.

Seriously. What is the benefit of playing a caster class, when everything about them is being systematically made harder?

That even puts a damper on bow usage. :-?

I think the imms on SKs just follow clever people around all day, watch what they do, and then ban it.

I just don't understand the point in unreasonably lengthening the least fun part of mudding. If someone could explain that to me to my satisfaction, I wouldn't mind, but it just seems... Well, I don't want to call it 'stupid', but I can't think of anything more fitting.

I agree with Jardek on this one. I don't understand the point of it. This limits tactics if anything vs the PVE aspect of the game. Using a NPCs weakness ie mountains vs NPCs unable to climb or flying over water vs NPCs that can't swim should be viable. If they can AoE, then sure, they can level like mad. They deserve to in my opinion.

With NPCs ridiculous saves vs some things (ie dirt kicking) their daggers will tear most cloth casters up, as well as their armor unless you can blind them, which isn't always the case. Dirt kicking on my character, dispite superb, isn't really all that reliable. I have to get really luck, and the mount (horse) tends to miss his bash quite often as well. That leaves a huge barrage of daggers coming right at me, especially when NPCs walk in and assist. Next thing ya know, boom from 1 dagger to 3-5 coming at you per round. Watch in horror as your armor bites it, your HP bites it, and your mount depending on what you're fighting.

I'm all for a difficult game, don't get me wrong. But the PVP is what makes the game so difficult. The fact that nearly everyone and their grandmother junk loots (with the exception of a few!) and getting ganked all the time, depending on who you play, make it difficult enough already. In my opinion, levelling shouldn't be made any more difficult. You shouldn't nerf a class just because they have a natural way of levelling. I'm with Jardek on this one. For lack of a better word, it is rather stupid to penalize a class for utilizing a tactic when the game bases itself on tactics.
