For PKing, I didn't do a LOT of it, but there was my fair share of defending the city or going on raids with allies at the time. In the character's entire life, it was PKed 3 times. Mitch and his buddies got me at Owyran at like Expert. Frollith's Necro got me at JM. Konge's rogue got me at GM. None of them got loot except Mitch who of course had to junk loot me.

Eventually I became a loot magnet by no choice of my own. Seriously. It's like the crap fell into my lap. At the high point just before I took the time off I had:

Candles encased in glass glow faintly from wood-panelled walls, casting a
soft golden light over the interiors of this building. The polished wooden
floor echoes the subtle glow, creaking gently whenever someone walks across
it. A large mahogany counter stretches along the wall opposite the
entrance, and behind it, an iron-clad vault can be seen. The air seems
quite dry and heavy, the stuffiness suggesting that it has been a while
since fresh air was allowed to flow freely here.

You junk everything in the room.

Within a few hours it was all collected again. After that I didn't have any 'lewt' worth having aside from a few items here or there.

Rokshi was never really much of a hoarder. He was always active, and for the most part of his life stupidly easy to find. He found a solid balance between all sides of the equation outside of one or two people to keep Zhenshi at peace with everyone.

Cheers,

-M

Provided your story is entirely true, I'm pretty appalled. Granted, at this point, my reaction and even the truth are more or less worthless. However I will try to explain what limited perspective I had, since I suppose I was involved with this character towards the end of his life and feel some responsibility to do so.

Fepel Veiled wrote:
After Algon, of all people, started asking me questions on YIM, I dropped back on about two weeks ago. I logged on, got some lewt, and went about to try to clear my name. It seems that in my absence Ardith was quite busy in making sure that EVERYONE in the [REDACTED] game knew I was a notorious criminal. When I get back on, in less than a day there was four or five attempts on my life, all of which stemmed from lies that Ardith spread. Evidently I was a Griffon slaughtering, traitorous, elf hating evil thing that consorted with the North and was a lapdog of the East. I spent a week trying to clear my name, but with work and stuff I wasn't able to be on nearly as much as I had liked to. Every day it seemed like another obstacle to overcome, and unlike Rokshi, no one else out there in SK land believes that a person can redeem themselves.
In attempting to figure out your character and his story, my young character didn't have much to rely on. These were the only established facts: you had been tried and removed by the Council of Blossoms (which I could only have assumed acted within reason), and then for some reason removed and deported by Alleli. After that, it was basically your word versus the Fist's. Considering these were several lighties who I'd been working with for some time, and you were a single greybie with only that negative track record of trial/deportation for me to go on, I obviously came into the situation rather biased. After talking to my best soldier, who wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt, I figured it would only be fair to investigate further. After all, the fervor with which your name was being slandered seemed to greatly contradict the story you told me (which at least appeared honest and articulate), and so I wanted a 3rd party opinion. I looked for any non-Fist characters that might've been alive and kicking while you were in power. The few that I found gave similarly negative reviews. And then the following situation happened:

Fepel Veiled wrote:
I even had members of the Talons who a week earlier was asking for my help who wanted to throw me out of the city.
This had nothing to do with slander, nor did it deal with more than one member. You had betrayed the trust of that member, after she had betrayed my character's trust, for you. Very ironically, this was the only character who had stood up for you, a character that had been paranoid of virtually everything in Zhenshi: Judge Kelah, the Council of Blossoms, the Fist, her commanding officers, even some of the external references towards you, and more. And yet you, with a reputation ostensibly sketchier than all of these organizations combined, earned her trust in moments. I like to think I did my best with an honest IC investigation, and that she did more than her best giving you a chance. You botched it with her. So try not to get too snarky with this "nobody believes in redemption" stuff.

This was pretty much the clincher. Excluding the very relevant and obvious fact that your character's RP, while respectable and well-played, was basically in direct conflict with the actions/goals of the current organization... you had also proven yourself to be generally untrustworthy in my character's eyes. Given all of that, it became much easier to once again believe the characters that had been running the organization when my character joined it. So that was that.

I don't know how you feel about this, or if you particularly cared about the induction or not, but I felt it was worth tying up any loose ends on my side.

Eh.. I think you're putting too much blame on Alleli for this, truth be told. She might've been the one to type in 'uninduct Rokshi', but certainly was not the person who initiated the whole Fist take over thing. I at the time asked who was going to volunteer to run things for me in the Talons, since we needed someone in the tribunal itself to clear up the mess, and Alleli was the first person to have offered.

The event that lead the Fist towards such an offensive action was when myself and another person caught Tarn (one of the Teronian 'mercenaries' you had let into the Talons alongside Sterk), stunning his own judge, taking the key and attempting to free some Uxmlan guy. I forget who it was now. I assure you that hell broke loose for him then. I talked to Kelah, explained the situation. You at that point were NO where in sight. This was way before I even asked Alleli to lead the Talons. People were trying to contact you when they managed to glimpse you online and you had your cabal chat off and were on quiet mode in a no-summon area.

I even asked Hixendor, who was your second at the time to man up and run things, after pointing out exactly how bad things were, but he unfortunately chickened out. So, with no leaders and with no one who was active or trustworthy within the Talons, I did have to take some sort of action. Alleli was instructed to go ahead and get rid of everyone the Fist did not consider beneficial to the guard. I fully understand that this was no pleasant role and she did have to put up with quite a lot of crap on all fronts (granted her behaviour was a bit too holier than thou in several cases), but it was the best option I had at the moment and she at least had the balls to go through with it.

There are several other details of importance in all this, but I cannot really offer them at the moment since they are too relevant IC. Maybe when I croak.

That being said, RIP.

I don't. I happen to be one of those who made an attempt on Rokshi's life in the last days, because Alleli set my character after the gnome. This would be how he became "a griffon slaughtering so and so." Ultimately that was resolved and my character learned that Alleli was talking out her [REDACTED] just trying to get this guy ganked, but I have no doubt whatsoever that that particular paladin was saying pretty much anything that even loosely fit within the guidelines of possible, to slander Rokshi whenever the chance arose or to set people against him.

Well, I didn't get to interact with Rokshi at all. But, it seems you had at least an interesting character concept. If you do decide to come back (most do :P), I suggest rolling something fresh and new and keeping who you play a secret. I'd even go as far as to say to stay away from the forums as well. When you don't see all the bitterness OOCly, it makes the game so much more enjoyable.

Good luck with whatever you do.

There's a very thin line between holier-than-thou and arrogant, especially for someone who's supposed to be dedicated to finding out the truth at all costs. I've no idea why you said this, Cyra, but it seems like the worst defense you could have possible imagined for what Fepel already posted that you did. Even though forum posts have no relevance in-character, there's nothing wrong with defending what your own actions.
