Not quite, dude. You really need to differentiate between IC, and OOC.

all the OOC that was written all over it
There weren't a bunch of people OOC on yim or something conspiring against you, there weren't any gripes against you as a player, and there wasn't any out of character gripes against your character.
Randy conceded that he can look back and see that it was lame to summon gank you like that - that makes it no less of an IN CHARACTER situation. I may look like an [REDACTED] for saying this, but there is QUITE a difference. You may not notice it, but it's there. There's a difference between the following occurrences:
1. Wanting an item. (Let's call this the "Gee, I want" stage.)
2. formulating a plot involving others to get the item.
3. realizing said item needs a key
4. Casting locate object( an IN CHARACTER SPELL) to find the item
5. Getting said item from person (In this case, it has been maintained that the means were dubious, but it is STILL IN CHARACTER)
and
1. Talking with people in a chat about how you want loot, and make plans to gank someone to get it.
IC douchebaggery is very different from ooc douchebaggery. One is punishable, the other is frowned upon, but recognized as legal. (which is to say the common reaction will be "It happens".) Crimes are committed in life without justifiable reason. Crimes in sk can happen without justifiable reason too. This is why there's a religion of chaos. This is why there are evil diabolical people (Note! Diabolical is like "criminally insane"). If you walk away from this having learned anything, PLEASE let it be this.
EDIT: I fixed some grammar errors.
