I -would- add something to rogues but that's not quite it... There something about this idea that I do not quite like, I am sorry.
I would much rather an ability to envenom weapons or crossbow bolts.(Or even an ambush like fight starter with a crossbow)

I think either a specialization in a backstabable weapon subtype or enhanced parry would be a good thing for a rogue. Not both, just one or the other. I also don't think it would make them over powered, neither one would make a backstab hurt more. Both are mostly defensive.

There are also already ways of poisoning your weapons and bolts.

There are ways for rogues to do this?

Yessir! I made that possible YEARS ago. =)

All this mostly is is a backstab and circle stab buff. And everyone is going to specialize pigsticker. I don't think it's going to go through or that they really need it. Much more possibilities available in the class, imo.

Neither a specialize or an enhanced parry would make circle stab, hamstring or backstab hurt more. It would make it less likely to be dodged and less likely to miss. It would also make it so a rogue would parry and hit more with his dagger. If everyone specialized in pigsticker. What would they get? A better chance for the second backstab to hit. A third attack with it maybe, (the lack of a shield will get them beat up pretty good in PK), and a to hit bonus?
Rogues would also know more about handling a dagger than a mercenary, by far. Their life and welfare depend on the manipulation of a dagger way more than a mercenary would.

Yez, a buff. I said pigstickers because they're so slow, yes, so they'd benefit nicely from a spec... whereas most daggers already hit thrice, and rogues dont get 4th attack. I guess since pigstickers are actually swords, I'd change my comment to everyone speccing in straight daggers or push knives. Anyway it just seems kind of unnecessary.

Rogues are fine the way they are. Defensively, a rogue wouldn't really be using a pigsticker if they're the ones getting attacked. They would use a one-hander and a shield. Sure, when the person in front of the rogue dies or flees, the rogue is in combat, but then its a matter of switching up the blades or...oh well.

They're honestly fine the way they are.

If Rogues at least had enhanced parry, they would stand a chance against heavy armor classes without having to get scrolls with three spells on them.

I took buff as in extra damage.

Backstabbing and reciting a scroll with triple harm/fod/few others is hardly learning how to play. It's really more like "How can I get that scroll from so and so, so I can kill dick head over here with it." Most of the time at least.

This begs a question of why rogues should need to stand a chance against a heavy armor class without the use of scrolls. If they WERE a combat class, which are the type that are MEANT to stand a chance against a heavy armor class...they'd be wearing heavy armor themselves. They're in light armor for a reason, and that reason is not to go toe to toe with a mercenary.

Exactly. They rely on surprise and meatshielding to be effective in battle, they aren't really meant to tangle much in the front row.
