[edit] I changed my mind. I agree that a specialization in a dagger backstab able sword is not the answer to what I think they need to balance them out better.

I think it would be a good idea to let rogues specialize in one subtype of dagger, a shortsword or a pigsticker (any one thing you can backstab with). They are the masters of the dagger. I think they should be able to specialize in daggers.

Thoughts? Opinions?

Do rogues have an issue of getting their full attacks and hitting?

I -would- add something to rogues but that's not quite it... There something about this idea that I do not quite like, I am sorry.
I would much rather an ability to envenom weapons or crossbow bolts.(Or even an ambush like fight starter with a crossbow)

Game needs to add players, no point in adding things to a dead mud.

If it is as dead as you say it is, why are you even here?

I think either a specialization in a backstabable weapon subtype or enhanced parry would be a good thing for a rogue. Not both, just one or the other. I also don't think it would make them over powered, neither one would make a backstab hurt more. Both are mostly defensive.

There are also already ways of poisoning your weapons and bolts.

In general there needs to be cooler poisons in SK.

Some where in Ch'zzrym you should be able to buy sleep poison that can be applied to ranged missiles.

If every class was getting specialization for their primary weapon types, what's the point of Mercenaries having the unique appeal for being better at certain weapons?

Though frankly I think Dulrik went the wrong with the Mercenary class anyways.
