I have to completely disagree with the statement Tribunals are for RP, Cabals are for PK. My current character saw very little good RP in his tribunal days, and far more PK than he cared for. It was the basic reason he left. However, after joining a cabal, I have seen much more and better RP, and generally less PK.

If one is okay, then why not both?

The very nature of a CTF-style raid system supports the concept and mission of all tribunals, but rages out against the very word cabal, let alone everything cabals once were. Cities invite raids to occur on a regular basis. "Secret headquarters" of elite organizations do not. [REDACTED], I really do not have to repeat all of this. Go back to 2005 and read what LK had to say on the matter.

CRS is an excellent way to check and test AI, nothing more.

SK Character: That one guy who pk'd you.
CRS has recieved a bad reputation since its implementation. Like a gun, its a tool. Guns don't kill people, but people kill people. And CRS does not kill rp, people do.

I feel apathetic towards the whole ordeal with it, since it has been beaten so much. I don't think its a feature that is helping sk or hurting it. It was a scapegoat for a lot of folks who got frustrated with sk and wanted something to blame to finally leave the addiction.

So yeah, whatever...

I voted "scrap-rp" because I think that's what it did, but I'd also accept "scrap-poor" do to the actual quality of CTF.

I also understand the opinions of those who don't want to scrap something that is in need of excruciatingly serious work but I still disagree with them.

If an Edsel was involved in a crash that destroyed the motor and crushed the hood, fenders and quarterpanels along with twisting the frame, then I highly doubt I'd pay more than a buck ninety-five for it. More likely, someone'd have to pay me to take it off their hands.

The CRS system is just crappy with cabals. I think the secretive cabals hq's could be more hidden if something like CRS wasn't in place. It also is annoying when the game is unbalance, say now when there aren't enough people to man all the positions. You find yourself in very one sided struggles.

What's the ICness of all the cabal powers just all of a sudden being heavily dependent on a relic? Sort of forced role play there... capture the flag suits a war type game like medal of honor or halo or something anyhow. I figure we could come up with something a lot more creative on a fantasy non-graphical mud.

Like.. WORD!! :drunk:

The detail and the playerbase is what got me to log in and check it out. I'm still enjoying the mud alot, just not as obsessed to log in, as I used to. I can say that I wasn't too proud to be in a cabal, when I was trying to comprehend
what exactly CRS was.. in a cabal with no relic. You could prolly gauge my thoughts on CRS. It kind of threw any kind of secrecy for the cabal, out the window.

Gotta crawl before you walk, I suppose.
