Zhensh is the exception, not the rule - with game history being as it is, taslamarans and Imperials should look exactly alike. Uxmal being a hodgepodge as it is - they SHOULD NOT be recognizable by facial features. It's the proverbial melting pot in sk.

Zhenshi's major populace center also has a fairly unique climate that doesn't apply to any of the other kingdoms, and it would be feasible to assume that someone from that region would have certain features in common with someone else from that region (sun-browned skin, being one small example). The other kingdoms tend to share a climate, or at least a majority of climatic factors, and so would not have the same environmental impact on their appearance.

Uxmaln people would probably be the single most difficult group to actually peg just from looking at them, considering their central and varied climate conditions, as well as the fact that ICly, they're essentially a melting pot, as GL said.

Disguises aren't just about facial features, goldielocks. Adjectives on SK have been used to describe everything from attitudes, to clothing, to size, to hair/eye color, to, HEY YOU GET THE POINT! I know the adjective on my current character doesn't address his facial details in any way.

I don't think it's far-fetched or out of character to disguise yourself or even set your adjective as any sort of nationality on SK.

Salak, that doesn't just apply to facial features, either. As uxmal is the melting pot of people/creed/race/nonhumanity, there's no one set of characteristics that define "uxmalans". Clothing? That's out. You're rezzed naked, without clothes. Accent? No, that's out - there are GOBLINS in uxmal, as well as people from different countries. Characteristics/quirks? Again, no. Hair/eye color? Won't find any necessary similarities here! Size? I don't know, that sign that talks? Makes all kinds of cracks about people who vary in size. There is NO one thing that defines EVERYONE, or even the MAJORITY of people who live in Uxmal. Jeeze, give it up.

I think you're being far too technical for a game like SK. It's just a disguise/adjective, after all. No big deal, right?

It's a big deal when it's being done purposely to abuse a targeting glitch that will make someone hit your pet instead of you. This glitch was stated, by D, to be an abuse of the adjective/targeting system and is supposed to be both a curseable and deletable offense. Like, for example, a grey-eyed dwarf who constantly rides a grey wolf from the druid sanc.

Is far too technical a bad thing? Is being a stickler for "suspension of disbelief" a horrible, horrible thing? Sk may be a game, but it succeeds because of the ENVIRONMENT it sets, which is an environment based on story-book like features, where suspension of disbelief is NECESSARY. To do that, certain rules do have to be applied, or the whole thing fails.

EDIT: If SK DID have a graphical interface, I bet you that no three uxmalans would look even remotely similar.

Oooh, what about the spritely sprite?

Yeah, I don't see this rule being enforced - so I don't see a problem with using it to your advantage.
