I believe that the level limit on Dominate should be up. As it stands, right now hellions can dominate things around I believe it's 10 levels below them. (Generally no match or kill naked, some easy kills, though with luck.) With the concentration requirement of it being so much though for just about anything other than a Deep Elf, I feel that Hellions should be able to dominate up to a perfect match, provided that the NPC is below their level. I mean, what's the point of carrying around a NPC that considers no match or kill naked? Chances are if you could kill it naked, then your opponent could as well unless you're lowbie killing.

What do you guys think?

I'm for it. Hellions need buffing if they are s'posed to stand against pallies.

No. This would be ridiculously overpowering (and unnecessary, I think anyone that truly understands the hellion and paladin classes knows that they're balanced) and several good hellions have already shown effective uses for dominate.

No. Dominate does need to have concentration slightly lessened, but other than that it's fine.

lower the concentration a bit. As it is, using it is kind of a wildcard anyways. Though cancellation no longer will mess you over as easily, enough enchants should stop dispell, just have to lower it a bit so its worth using instead of having no other spells up.

I really don't think Hellions need a buff.

No match, kill naked, etc., are just suggestive pointers that take into account many factors. Sometimes it is not meant to be taken literally. There has been incidents in the past where an extremely low level giant slew a high level caster by landing bashes consistently.

Having said that, there are some fairly durable (with armor) NPCs in the game that works pretty well for domination. It would serve its purpose for being a buffer + utility until hellion goes into front row. However, as others mentioned, the concentration requirement is high.

The consider command only uses the level of the NPC and the PC. It is a simple guideline though, as level is in no way going to determine if you will win a fight.

I agree, lower domination concentration cost.

Has the concentration cost been raised at some point? I don't think it was too bad when I had my hellion.

And the levels of dominates don't have to be raised. Hellions don't need an equal level warrior in front of them while they're getting three attacks with enhanced damage and throwing hellfire in between rounds.
