Apparently you don't know how to use hellfire well.

I just wish to clarify that I am not disagreeing with the technical, textbook definitions of what paladins and hellions are, and/or their duties and so on.

Just as I did not disagree with the splitting of Knights of Selkwood + Druids, Talons + Fists, etc.. However the idea certainly seemed better back when Shattered Kingdoms was played by 75-100 players.

These changes were most likely made to accommodate a large, growing MUD, by encouraging more political or religious bodies to interact with each other, both great concepts and visions in the past.

As Shattered Kingdoms does not have a growing trend, and I am not arguing here combining cabunals and/or +add symbols would be the saving grace, but at some point it is probably better to cut the losses.

M2C.

You're wasting your time, you know. They don't want to hear anything but whatever blows smoke up their own butts. Face it, SK is dying (while other muds - iron realms especially - are actually growing slightly) because of this type of attitude.

Oh well.

Yes, clearly, I am the end all, be all of all problems on SK. Since this is gameplay, I can't flame you enumerated the various reasons/ways that you are lacking in intellectual material -- however, I will state that these problems exist with and without me being here.

I'm far more of a boon to this game than a dozen players. That fact is completely unarguable.

The past few days i have seen neer 50 players on. (42-49) for hours. If thiere is a boon in MUDS, I would have to say I think SK is in on it. Not to mention this month alone I have helped 3 true noobs.

Give it a rest Thran. SK is not "dying". It's been in the process of "dying" for several years now, yet it hasn't happened. And if the recent numbers of characters online (over 50) is any evidence, it looks like people are actually playing the mud.

So while you're hanging at with your hobo friends waving your "the end is nigh" cardboard sign, just remember one thing: you're wrong.

Only when I do something in game big do the numbers seem to spike. We'll see if that trend continues when I'm done.

Weird, I don't think hellions have changed since the last time I played one. Let me see here.

Yep - I was able to gank two champ+ paladins by myself at level 42. No, hellions are fine.

You've got one tremendous ego, Thran. I can assure you that the recent spike in numbers has nothing to do with you, especially since a lot of the older players that came back recently probably don't give two shits about you or whatever impact your character has on the game.

I wish HF hellion/paladins could create symbols but like Thran said every time this idea comes up it is shot down. Its best to just get a HP to create like three symbols for you and put them somewhere.
