What if every class had some sort of specific binding?

Hrm...that might be interesting. Probably not good, but still interesting.

I love the direction of this kind of thinking.

Personally, I don't see why Shamans (or Priests) would have such a skill, but I can very definitely see this as a Hellion ability. Paladins not so much - they already have call armor, and they don't have any cleave-esque ability that demands the presence of a weapon.

I also like the idea of Necromancers being able to make weapons for their undead.

I don't like any of the ideas so far.

And as about the dark/gray cabal thing, there may be not a dark/gray cabal that allows you to create your weapon like the lightie cabal, but there IS a dark/gray cabal that allows you to craft mithril/adamantite weapon and shields with no concentration/mana cost so hush, please.

You can't create a weapon of any sort in any dark/grey cabal currently, juggernaut. Stop adding misinformation into the mix, please.

Another consideration:

The weapon a hellion makes could vary based on religion, and there could also be religion-specific enchants on the weapon, akin to symbols.

Although I've been saying for some time that hellions -need- a buff of some sort to put them closer to par with paladins I don't think that this is what is needed. I think hellions need some sort of ranged spell, or a area effect spell.

As for limited time weapon creation for necros that could be useful and even interesting. As long as the necro can still use them with death shroud. And they should have a rot timer and no concentration, something like a day timer or such. And maybe something like the scout ability on what kinds can be made.

I think hellions need something as answer to call armor, really. Paladins get call armor son they don't have to be concerned aboud loot if they're adventuring. if they die, they can get their cool loot back. I really think a hellion should be able to create something whether it's weaponry or armor, on the force of will - that can't be removed or replaced, baced on the force of his will. It's quick power, but the idea is that you sacrifice the ability to wear any other loot on that slot that may be better in the long run.

You know this post brings back memories of a long dead religion that once existed on SK, back in the days religions (most) came with added gifts. One such religion allowed there members to summon up a dagger that's stats/material reflected the members level.

Bonus points to anyone that can remember the name of that Twink God.

Point of this, once other people discovered this and was considered why over powered, we soon found ourselves summoning drift wood or candles :(

In short, bad idea.

That was a bit before my time. Point noted, though.
