What should be done about the people hiding in Cabal HQs?
Nothing! I like Hide and Seek! 59%  59%  [ 10 ]
Tear down the HQ's! BURN! DESTROY! 12%  12%  [ 2 ]
Perhaps nerf the Guardians? Make raiding a bit easier so relics can be swapped more often and HQ's more accessible. 6%  6%  [ 1 ]
Make HQ's open with only one massively strong Guardian that guards a relic, or certain parts of it clsoed off with guardians. 24%  24%  [ 4 ]

So it's completely unavoidable. You go looking for a person, for whatever reason. RP, PK, RP and PK or other reasons. After searching the entire realms, you fail to find that person..So, you find a way to Scry for them or find someone who can..And viola! The person pops up in a cabal HQ, all tucked away safely like a snug bug in a rug.

Anyone ever feel like SK has become a giant game of Hide and Seek with the addition of the Cabal HQ's? I hear that raiding an HQ isn't an easy task. Sure the outer guardian can be taken down, but the inners are much harder..So, what's the point of logging on to play a game if you isolate yourself from the population?

If this "loot" as people call it, (or do you prefer lewt?) is so easy to obtain, then why do people hide themselves and engage in these RPless filled games of hide and seek. Ever RP'd with a person through tells? It's not as fun as RP'ing with the person with them in front of you is it? Not only that, if you're levelling a caster, well things get a bit more difficult due to mana consumption of spells. So what do you think should be done to stop this whole charade of Hide and seek? I did not bother to vote.

When I was in a cabal I was constantly hunted but I never hid in the HQ. Also, it is easy enough to take out the outer gaurdian. so what do you want? the ability for any solo GM to take out the outer gaurdian alone? I am sure many people could solo a outer alone.

I just don't like your idea.

No, I'm not wanting anyone to be able to solo anything. I'm just wanting to understand why people play just to sit and hide in cabal HQ's and stuff. I mean, the imms and others have said there really shouldn't be any real safe places to hide in SK, correct? The HQ's are among the safest as the guardian outside and the spawning NPCs on the inside.

If this is an RP and PK game, what's the point of playing just to sit in one area and hide like a coward? I mean surely loot isn't that important, right?

Edit: I'm not really for making HQ's overly accessible or anything of that nature, but the fact people can hide in them and defend them quite well with the guardians spawning and stuff is kind of moot as they create the safest zones to sit and wait or hide in.

If you want a boost I say you make it so that you cant make your way out of the HQ untill you left the front door. No recall or anything which I think it is. That way when you have someone hiding thiere its also a tomb, because you only need to get a friend maybe two to go in and kill him because he would HAVE to go threw you.

If you want to get someone in a cabal HQ, get three GMs together, with a good mix of classes, and own the outer guardian's face. It isn't hard. The guards that spawn are sometimes harder than the outer guardian, depending on what class set you're working with in your group, but as long as you have someone with group-affect spells (priest, warlock, sorc, necro, shaman) even those will drop relatively easily.

As long as you stay away from the inner guardian, raiding a cabal HQ isn't such a big deal. Sure, you need a group. Guess what though? As soon as the cabal sees their warning that someone's attacking, you're likely going to be facing a group, so you'd want one anyways.

Should the outer guardians be soloable? No. Should the spawning cabal guards be soloable? No. Why? Because they're meant to be serious obstacles when a huge, prepared group shows up for a relic gank. If you make the preliminary defenses of the cabal HQs ultra lightweight, then you'd have to buff the inner guardians to a stupidly high level.

Is it somewhat lame when people hide in cabal HQs? Yes. Is it frustrating if you can't immediately call upon the resources to raid it and get them? Yes. Guess what? TFB.

Inner guardian rooms are recall. And no, that should not be changed.
