The dead should get butterflies over their heads if they have been good, and flies if they've been bad.

My reasoning behind it is that the dead do not have normal eyes, they are in almost another plain of existence. I do understand that it would screw up tactics though.

And yes, I was quite aware when making the poll that there was no Wert option.

I am amazed no one mentioned creating a level 6 alt an just leaving him dead to log on and check out the who list.

I was REALLY surprised someone said they would let thiere character die when this is such a better tactic.

My first reaction was that it would be cool and change game tactics... The veterans are right, of course, but I can see where the idea came from. I didn't vote.

I apparently didn't think (obvious eh?) when I posted this. I just thought it would be cool. Yeah, didn't think far beyond that, tactics and all.

It is unfortunate that dead characters can't see the invis people who kill them. Even worse, the killers can't see the ghost or hear their says to RP without manifestation or a (more or less) rare spell. Why not make a ghost's says heard by everyone in the room as a "somone" unless manifestation or spirit-sight is in play?

PS~ Achernar is right. Tactically, it would be absurd to see invisible people while dead.

I wouldnt mind seeing when someone dies they get a free manifest for two ticks for the RP Benzo mentioned. Could end up with some interesting situations of people walking in on five of six ghosts after a major battle they just missed. Would add a small amount of time to the cant get back via a resurrection as well. Also when your manifest ends it would inspire newbies to check out help manifest to help them continue death RP until they can find a way back to life.
As for seeing invis, hidden and camo. Please no. I have used a dead player for tracking someone before it was most useful. However if he had true sight it would have been broken.

How about a true-sight glimpse at the moment of your death, like summon causes. I'd be okay with that, but just for the instant of death.

I do like Benzo's idea as well. I do like to manifest after I die, but when you are low level are like a giant, it gets quite draining.
It would be interesting for an instant death sight, but even again would that change the tactics? It is only one moment and then you cannot see it again so it's not as if you could just follow them around.

. . . That's the point.

I don't think there should be a death-flash, though. Newp. If you don't have detects up when you die, you shouldn't get freebies when you're a ghost.


I have to say this is an all around terrible idea.
